Hey guys. I'm Brazilian and I'd like to say something about the price hikes here: back in August Microsoft raised the prices of the Xbox Series X in most markets, but the USA, Japan, Brazil, Chile and Colombia were spared. I believe Xbox held the prices in Brazil for a little longer, but never intended to hold the prices here forever, so we're getting those price raises a little later. What is more puzzling is that in most regions they readjusted the prices of the Series X and kept the Series S prices, whereas in Brazil they did the opposite. My guess is that they did it in order to keep the Series X at the same price point as the PS5. However the Series S now is about the same price as the PS5 All Digital, which is a strange decision.

They want people to buy the X, not the S. So doing this encourages people to buy the X since the price for the S makes no sense compared to the X and PS5.

I wish I could block a creator from autoplay, it's so frustrating especially because I listen to other podcasts that I actually enjoy and they do not get recommended i.e waveform, chiclana (spanish), after (spanish, lol) or just long videos like Scott the Woz's videos, I genuinely mean no harm to the creators of this podcasts but I cannot be further away from being interested in this.

Xbox is totally missing out the marketing in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. It's cheap to advertise in India than other countries. We have been watching it and all gaming advertisement we are seeing is PS5 advertisement. Cricket is the second most popular sports in the world and it's world cup season, Microsoft India should take advantage of it. Over 100 million people watching it in Live daily and big matches are being watched live by over 200 million people. They better take notice and do some cleaver advertising.

@@lunagrace2872 i seriously suggested to them they keep this. They can’t keep doing these different named shows cause it’s getting really confusing marketing wise. For their first party they can just call it Xbox First Party Show. I also loved the fact half way through the show they stopped for a few seconds to highlight what they showed in the first half was a nice touch. The layout of the different games after their trailers just perfecto in my opinion. I’m telling you this show needs to be THE format going forward in my opinion.

@@serialkiller77 Agreed, I think they have a perfect formula for their developer direct and partner preview. And continue with this format because people won’t get confused ever time they change up ever show. With consistency people over time will understand what each show is about and get people hyped for them and also have correct expectations for each show. Xbox seems to finally gotten their show format down now they just need to keep it up.

I hard disagree personally. I like it for more low key events that don't focus on first party much, but I do really think we need events that have deeper dives into the game and fireside like chats from the developer studio and Xbox execs. The industry needs more transparency not less. Developer directs and the massive showcase and the extended showcase are still my favorite formats. But the partner previews are something really good they can do every other month to keep the Xbox brand relevant. I'd actually do the developer direct once a quarter minus summer, massive Xbox + Bethesda + ABK showcase in the summer, and Xbox Partner Previews every other month.

Brazilian here. The Series S situation is crazy because for that same suggested price you can buy a PS5 here in various stores. The thing is, suggested prices are not mandatory, so many businesses practice a lower final price and the PS5 is selling well so the price is always lower than Sony's suggested price.

I like it when it gets dark early as well. The neighbors are inside earlier so its quieter outside, and it makes being indoors watching TV or playing games feel more comfortable. I don't like it that from May - August I don't see the night time at all due to my sleep schedule.

I have finished every major game this year on Xbox, PS5, and Switch other than Starfield, Fire Emblem Engage or BG3. Lies of P is my favorite this year. I have not felt better about subbing to Gamepass since Psychonauts 2.

WoW could come to consoles cryptic did it with Star trek online they ported game over and refined the control system to suit so Microsoft could do it. Only thing is STO genereates revenue via ship sales and micro transactions for Zen coins WoW still uses the subscription model... however IF they wanted to push gamepass subs they could offer it to ultimate subs and still offer the normal subscription to WoW people will be more likely to move to the gamepass model.

Sony will be more than fine unless they go completely off the rails. They have insane brand equity in an era where people are ridiculously tied to brands. Sony's Spider-Man 2 honestly sounds great. I wouldn't get a PS5 for it, but it makes me excited for a PC release (especially because insomniac is really good at Steam Deck optimization). My main issue with the first game and Miles Morales to a lesser extent was that towards the late middle it just starts to feel REALLY repetitive and tedious. It sounds and looks like that isn't the case as much here. That and I can't stand Peter's face since remastered. Insomniac is HARD carrying Playstation this generation and that's a really recent aquistion. GOW was really good as well, but Insomniac has put out GOW, two smaller GOWs, and has another GOW on the way. All that said, the big controversy I've heard with the game is the price for it's hours and I will say it sounds crazy that a 25 hour game costs $70 base price and has dlc on the horizon. I don't think this is on insomniac and is likely just Playstation being Playstation but still. When Hi Fi Rush launched at $30 base price and day one on Game Pass and Hades launched at $25 and even Baldur's Gate 3 stayed at $60, why tf is a 25 hour game getting sold at the highest price point + the recent unfair supercharge?
