as a waitress, i can say, this almost made me cry. i don’t EVER expect a tip from anyone. i give the best service i possibly can to whoever/whatever table i possibly can. not everyone knows how to tip. not everyone appreciates their server. we all go through shit. we all have a way we try to pay our bills and what not. it warms my heart that you felt that way and felt the want to tip your server the way you did. i always try and tip service workers the best i can.
