I'm really glad you talked about how the company sent influencers the limited edition doll. It makes me feel (and some might say I'm overreacting) disgusted! No way would I think while watching a doll-tuber who got sent one "oh my gosh, they got this completely by random?! How lucky!" It really feels unfair to fans, and I will never be buying her for even a chance.

I think there was a way to send these with it being… fine? A way to advertise them? But to send the specific ones from the actual limited set and not some special influencer sample version just feels off to me :/ especially if the influencer pretends they don’t realize that it was sent intentionally when they absolutely do. I want to give Moose the benefit of the doubt here because it’s possible this was just the PR team’s decision or it was meant to be some sort of “thank you” to the influencers but there was definitely a better way to do this

@@xCanadensisI agree that it doesn’t seem fair but if they send the influences a ‘special’ version of the doll, it would then become the most wanted and the most expensive on the secondary market b/c there are so few available. It’s just the way the market works. I’m not sure what the solution would be b/c a lot of PR will come with a special edition if they have one.

I more mean that they could do samples without numbers of the LE doll. So if there’s 16 influencer packages including them there’s 16 unnumbered samples that are identical to the 1000 available on the general market. I don’t think making exclusive influencer ones makes much sense

I think they thought sending influencers the limited dolls would boost the sales of the dolls with people hopping to get the exclusive dolls by buying more of them. When what they should of done was say they was sending them to 25 influencers then make extras just for them like instead of 1000 make 1025 but with the general population knowing there is only 1000 of them in the wild to find y'all would not be the first 1000 but the last 25 it would seem more intentional and less rude to everyone else that way I think. Or lake Brook said send them ones without the limited edition coin it's just paper that with the gimmick you risk getting wet anyways. They should have put them in little plastic wrapping to keep them safer.

I love the design of pixlings they are so cute and I’d love to do a custom on one, but they are really expensive because of the packaging. I know some people like it but if they could just sell the dolls separately I would buy them up so fast. Btw love your videos I watch them all the time while I craft.

Thank your for talking about the limited edition. I have been collecting magic mixies for 3 years now?! I have 2 of the limied edition mixies, and i went through a lot of stores (time and money) to find them. You are the 3rd influencer that I have seen being sent the limited edition one, at least acknowledging that it was intentionally planted to pr boxes. Love your content always! I love these dolls but their packaging is such a turn off. Big large clunky usless hunks of plastic that you either hord or throw out. Such cute dolls that would probably be cheaper to if they just ditched the terrible gimmick their clinging to so desperately.

I think the gimmick is a huge part of the brand’s identity unfortunately :( I would much prefer actually recyclable packaging if they must do the huge, bulky set pieces. It’s such a fun gimmick and I bet kids love it but it’s not something I can see people wanting to repeat over and over

I'd be nice to see a future where the new characters come out exclusively in the potion bottles for a time and then move over to a standard minimal packaging with accessories or something.

I agree. The gimmick packaging is terrible, and it's horrible that you can't see the dolls' faces with the blind packaging. My favorite one is also the Firehorse one, and I am having trouble finding her in stores.🖤💜

​@@myra0224 plastic isn’t really super recyclable, technically it can be recycled in factories, but it's not really cost affective and there aren’t that many regulations about it, so a lot of plastic, even ones in recycling bins ends up going to landfills On the other hand, packaging with minimal plastic and mostly paper or cardboard or some kind of organic material falls apart on its own after a while, and is easier to turn back to compostable matter

Now that's a nice haul! 💖I just want to say how much I appreciated how honest you were about the limited edition Unia doll. I think you have said everything perfectly while other influencers seem to have just acted like this wasn't intentional. I am sad as a non influencer as my chances of completing my pixling collection may never happen with her being so rare and the only one I am currently missing but I am so happy for you to have her🥰 As for Bearlinda, I believe she is a Walmart Canada exclusive. I am in Canada and we have her in stores and online. I was able to help some of my US friends because they couldn't find her anywhere and because she was so pricey online. I believe she was seen on Amazon US recently but don't quote me on that.

I have 2 Pixlings. Definitely will get a few more. Don't want all of them,.but just the ones I really like. It's all about their faces ! They don't have much articulation, they're tiny. But the fantasy esthetic & colorful painted faces are really unique fun. And the price point isn't too bad. They'd be so much less without the potion gimmick, but I know it's for kids.

These dolls are adorable, and I found this detailed review very helpful. I didn't have much interest in these dolls before, but this video proved how cute and detailed they are. That said, I would have to buy second hand because any wonkiness in the eyebrows is driving me nuts 😅

I think moose toys used to send the limited shoppies to influencers back in the day with the caveat of the incluencers promoting the fact there were special editions and showing off the special editions. the fact that the way this works is there is no agreement is what makes it kinda odd esp with the low edition number so im really glad you kept it real and brought it up. but also u worked so hard for ur platform a idk I feel like its a nice thing to be sent smtn special when you wouldn’t buy the packs with the possibility of the LE if you were sent the others in the first place. I do get why you would feel weird abt it esp when there was no preface or guidance from moose toys to frame it honestly

O love these dolls, but Deerlee it’s so pretty. If you put her hair and pet under UV light, the green color change to purple, it’s so amazing. In general the galaxy hair are a really beautiful line. I wish I can have them soon, in my country they arrives so slow and a few ones only.

Only 1000 really is super tiny. I like the limited Unia better because she doesn't have a molded on top so it's easier to redress her and make full outfits for her to wear. I wonder if I can sand off the molded top, or if it would become a mess. I really want the Angelica too, but the lack of quality control is a bummer. I think this might be the real reason the company doesn't want to get rid of the wasteful packaging "magic" gimmick. It allows them to sell faulty dolls.

These dolls are so beautiful and I really like mine but there should be a non-gimmick package option. I made a huge mess when I tried but yeah the blue stuff doesn’t stain. Lol I threw away the stands by choice because I didn’t like them 😅😂 Oh and as an Australian these are $30 for the basic doll. Up to $80 for the new fashion one.

I really love these dolls! I’m missing wynter bunny which I saw only once and the original fae I’m probably gonna have to order her online, lol. I’m just starting to get the shimmerverse girls… only Angelica and one other. I think I might just do a few at a time as it looked so fun. The pixlings supreme are also on my list. If you haven’t reviewed them yet I’d love to see what you think of them and if there is a cheat to free them from the mirror or if you really have to do the whole process.

The Pixlings are so magical HNN So my understanding about Bearlinda is that she was released in Canada with no US release date. Someone asked Moose toys and a representative told them Bearlinda was NOT going to be released in the US, so my guess is that the prices you're seeing are people importing them for resale or just the price of importing from Canada. However, at the time of posting this video Bearlinda did actually go up on Amazon US for retail price, and as of me posting this comment she's still on amazon US for $17.99. :D

Weird - my Unia that came with the "Pegacorn" is painted differently than yours! I probably wouldn't have even noticed, but I got mine out while you were going over the details of yours, and the one I have has painted wings on the back in a gradient (blue, pink, yellow), and her molded on top is painted almost metallic looking and with pink on the scrunchy belt looking part!

I love these so much they are the cutest.And I feel the same about wishing they had knee joints. I also wish they had more glitter embedded into the skin or something in special areas like blushing with glitter on the elbows would be really cute 🤔. Also, more detailed clothing would be nice. And I actually would like the halo stuck to the head but yeah it's for kids so a headband totally makes good since👍.However all in all I love them even so and find them the cutest things ever. My favorite of the new Pixling designs is easily the Firehorse one. I like her color scheme, and I haven't been able to find her in stores so far, unfortunately. I also never understood the point of the blind gimmick packaging (I also HATE blind boxes.), and I feel like it is such a waste of plastic. And I have been watching your channel for a long time, and I have been wondering how long it takes the average doll channel to find a decent following. I am a smaller DollTuber who started making doll photography posts in 2022 and videos in 2023, and I make content to express my special interests in the Storm Twins (my personal comfort dolls/characters) and the Shadow High, Rainbow High, and Monster High doll lines, as well as the game Genshin Impact. I recently hit just over 800 subscribers, and I constantly see other people in my niche hit 1K subscribers or more and get a lot more views and engagement on their videos. I can't help but wonder what I am doing wrong and I constantly feel like I'm not doing good enough and my perfectionism has been getting the best of me a lot. I also have Aspergers Syndrome or High-Functioning Autism, so I wonder if that is hindering my ability to reach a bigger audience as well. How do I get a larger following in the doll community and grow my channel as a doll collector and reviewer, because I have been feeling intensely discouraged and depressed about it lately and I just want answers for this and how it's making me feel.🖤💜😔

I like finding these in person rather than buying them online but it takes forever for them to go to usa stores it seems. I want the galaxy hair deerlee really bad but i don't want to resort to purchasing on amazon. it's more fun for me to find it off the shelf idk but i feel like i will miss out entirely and never get the ones i want then if i don't buy them online :/ I got really lucky with my angelica i was going to the store once a week to find her, after checking if she was in stock on the website, and she was never there until one day i found the container tucked away in the back of a shelf hidden. it also had no barcode on it whatsoever so a worker gave me the online price and i saved money haha. very strange and she hasn't been in stock ever since, there was only ever that one for months! idk if it's a distribution issue or what but it always makes me anxious. I love these guys, they are the only dolls i collect, but i find it so hard to collect them :(

Ok so.....I noticed that every time Moose sends out PR to a KZbinr, 9 out of 10 times they get the exclusive Unia, which is limited to only a thousand pieces. Just seems weird lol. It could be a coincidence but i am beginning to get sus. In any case, another fun video. You really lucked out with the unveiling. Yeah the distribution of the shimmer verse line has been… weird. The uk didn’t even get the whole line! We only got Faye and catlyn if I remember correctly. I know I had to get marina and pheona from overseas at least 🥲
