Well Fme - a normal person doing a great review on KZbin - rare but refreshing, thumbs up. Very informative video - thankyou, I've also found my wetsuit thanks to your review. I was going to literally order a different suit until I saw this video on my work break - cheers

I've been going back and forth between picking up the Revolt vs Drylock and this has me leaning to the Revolt. thanks for the vid

how cold does the water get where you are and how long do you like to surf at a time? Those questions should give you the answer, the Revolt is an amazing suit though, you can't go wrong either way.

Sunrise Surf Shop I live in San Diego. Water is 57-59 right now. I usually surf for 1-2 hours in Winter. I found the Drylock and Revolt for $250 but prefer stretch/flexibility over staying dry

Please review the Sharp Eye OK surfboard! It's the board Filipe Toledo mostly rides
@sunrisesurfshopfl8 жыл бұрын
we do have a Sharp Eye in the lineup to feature soon but unfortunately its not the OK. I will do my best to get that one in rotation ASAP. I can tell you we do incredibly well with all Sharp Eye models but the OK model is hands down the most ordered short board by our team guys. From groms to some of our pro's like Evan Thompson that is one of their favorite performance shortboard's hands down.

Sunrise Surf Shop I have a disco and it's been working well in knee to chest high waves. It felt unstable and skippy when I rode it in head high and above conditions, so I was thinking of the OK model. Anyways, I'm glad to hear there will be another Sharp Eye board review!

with that wide tail it definitely gets limiting and slides out in head high plus waves (unless its a mushy, slopey head high wave) so in that sense i agree. I personally have had multiple SB-1's and a good Game Changer that i loved. If its strictly for solid, steep, punchy waves choose between the OK or the SB-1 and you will be stoked.

That drylock was it a 4/3 or 3/2?
@PineappleSmack8 жыл бұрын
Dry lock looks pretty sick, I just bought a 3/2 flashbomb zip free plus for NY.. what's your extreme cold water winter preference ? I been hearing its between the 5.5/4 flashbomb and 5/4 O'Neil phycho

for us we never wear more then 4/3's here so unfortunately i don't know?? i surfed once in Montauk and wore a hooded 6mill and it was still brutally cold! hats off to you guys up there for charging and surfing in those conditions. Keep it up, its inspiring. If i can say anything i will say we do WAY better with Oneill suits over Rip Curl's for sure. That's my two cents

anyone with problems with the magnetic zip?

Hi! I just bought two MEN'S REVOLT TDC FULLSUIT on amazon, and want to know why my 4/3 suit is sewn, while the 3/2 is only glued on the outside?
@sunrisesurfshopfl8 жыл бұрын
I don't have the exact answer for that? Great question, we have been selling these suits for years and the construction has always been like that. I know the stitching makes the suit a little less flexible but not 100% sure why the 4/3 always comes with stitches instead of glue? I will call the Xcel guys Monday and try to get you a concrete answer. Thanks for watching review!!
@matiasmando30268 жыл бұрын
Sunrise Surf Shop Thanks, I'll be waiting for your answer. And what respects quality and durability based on your experience, it will last longer the 4/3 because of the stitches? 3/2 will not unglue? I'll have to take special care with the 3/2 because it has no seams? What's your overall opinion about quality and durability on both suits?
@sunrisesurfshopfl8 жыл бұрын
no, not at all! The glue is extremely strong and i have never seen an Xcel suit come unglued in the stitching area, your 3/2 is tough and durable so no need to baby it what so ever, still waiting to hear back from Xcel on an answer. Thanks
