Chase!! This was my first playstation game, I played the hell out of it so I'll definitely help brethem. I'll compare what I can to Mario kart, upgraded means you have 10 fruit carried Blue Universe Orb - like a blue shell it'll go for the person in 1st place - UPGRADED orb hits everybody Missile and Black Grenade - missiles are like red shells, hits the person in front - UPGRADED better target enemies and avoid traps. Grenade can be manually detonated after throwing, and both can be shot backwards Power shield - saves you from 1 hit - UPGRADED shield won't expire until hit, blue color instead of green, and can be shot manually TNT crates - UPGRADED turns to green nitro crates more lethal Glass Beakers - UPGRADED turns red and will leave a temporary stun damage, can be manually thrown forward too Mask (Aku-aku and Uka-uka) - like a star power, fast and invincible - UPGRADED lasts longer and doubles boost with power slide boosts Turbo - UPGRADED has a bigger boost

Lastly bro if you want to play on hard mode, YOU HAVE TO BOOST! Slide, wait till the meter fills up or black smoke and press it again - and before the boost finishes (you get slower), start another immediately. Watch a fast time on a map to see how ppl legitimately boost the entire 3 laps - you will not win if you don't boost. JUMP on every jump opportunity, right at the peak of the hill, ramp, bump to get a boost when you land and sustain a boost streak. Boost at the starting line by waiting till it's RIGHT about to turn green on the 4th sound. My method is to say duhh-duhhh-duhhh-NOW 😂 And lastly there are so many shortcuts on maps that idk how to describe it better than most of them can be opened with an item thrown at a door or jumped into. Subway sewers is my favorite map cuz you can get so much air if you hit the ramps right👍👍

@@phresh07 Subway Sewers is just one of the maps that can be frustrating if you do not play it right. Imagine the clock tower map or the final boss race I think where you are in space and you get transported to different dimensions during the race (Been a VERY long time).

Correct me if I am wrong I have never played the game, but it seems like you can jump over missiles if you time your jump right like in the video at 49:10 when chase shot the missile at the NPC if you look closely the NPC hopped right over it

Chase, you HAVE to boost; you will not win anything unless you boost. You have to get boosts by any means necessary: sliding, jumping off cliffs, etc., because it will help you stay with the pack. In the original game, you had a partner in the races. If you get last, but your partner gets first, then you would win the match. I have no idea why the developers would remove that, which is beyond me.

Brodie you have to learn how to use the power slide and how to combo and link slides and boosts, and the jump when there is humps, you NEED that. But I’m glad you are figuring out the wumpa froot strats, also if there is a missile coming at you and you have a potion or tnt or anything you can throw behind you, use it to block an attack coming from behind

Chase, I’m not sure you read comments Here are some Tip: •powerslide by pressing L1 then press R1 or opposite button while turning you powerslide at anytime •At the start of the countdown press X Nonstop to get a huge boost •when you see a boost ramp jump to get a some air time do this on any ramps you see on the tracks 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
