Xclusive!: WMATA 2013 Kawsaki 7000 Series Rail Car Tour @ Greenbelt Station!

An Arrival and tour for the new generation of railcars to DC Metros Fleet! In this video is the Arrival,Depature and tour of the vehicle. the train had to pull in and off slowly due to it not being fully tested, so the motor re vry quiet. These cars will start service sometime at the end of 2014. They will then run on the silver line which will open late 2014. Thanks for watching and please rate!

Nice job, WMATAvids! Testing officially starts this weekend so if you're out there again, you may be able to catch it. I don't know what time it'll begin, but Metro has information posted on their website. It says Green line trains will operate every 20 minutes to allow for testing of the new cars.

***** the only difference between the 7000 series and the R160B is that it has a Toshiba traction motor unlike the R160B Alstom or R160A the only trains in DC that share R160 motors are the 2000,3000 & 6000 series trains which uses the same onix motor as the R160. Also this is the only metro rail trains to have find display

The biggest mistake they made was not having four sets of doors on each car, sometimes on the northbound red line, not many people can get on before the door chimes ring, sure it would take away some seats but no transit systems in the world guarantees each passenger a seat.

WMATAvids Weird, there's an unusual amount of blur when you turn or move. Do you disable the resample of the video?

maybe it was my camera. and i dont think i did

WMATAvids That's why. When you edit next time, right click on the video and scroll down to switches, then click on disable resample. Also, to fix the blur, go to project properties and set the motion blur to Gaussian and the deinterlace method to interpolate blands.
