Worth to note: Sectoid will shoot with his writs plasma gun only if he has a flanking shot, which means high chances for crit. If he doesn't have a flanking shot, he will always go for psionics.

This is not true at all, Sectoid's have shot me through cover a hundred different times. What is actually true is Sectoid's will always use their psionics first to try and dominate a soldier, and will only default to their wrist plasma beam if their abilities cannot be used.

The often underestimated and underappreciated Flash Bang, the mighty overpowered and game breaking item known as the Mimic Beacon, and for WOTC especially , the often overlooked Mind Shield. These 3 items will win you the tactical portion of the game and save your soldiers from certain death, so stock up on them ASAP. Just always remember, as I know how frustrating missing a high percentage shot can be, it is just a game so HAVE FUN :D

Agreed. Flash bangs can break a mind control, and mimic beacons can distract enemies as well as absorb some damage.

Your video is more "Basic combat Tips for Xcom 2, but not for the expansion, War of the chosen. Besides small things like that reaper scope & the Priest, you had practically NOTHING of the expansion in your video! I would recommend to watch out next what you name your video!

Yup. I'm a douche bag for wanting some extra views on my video. But you know what? I don't care. Scout around on my channel and you'll notice I get less than 500 views on more than 90% of my videos. I wan't some views. Can I have some views? I'm gona have some views. I obviously don't like reading that people are disappointed by what they find or don't find in a video because of the title (I read every comment) but it's a price I'm willing to pay for a small slice of attention that, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't amount to much.

One more tip is to take or position yourself for flanking shots where possible especially against enemies with high defense or dodge stats as it improves hit chance AND chance to critical hit for maximum damage the first shot. This goes double for rangers who especially with talon rounds and other upgrades that increase chance to crit on their shotguns, they can turn a berzerker into a big slab of meat for a BBQ in no time flat.

Have you thought about adding in some Mod Class tactics? I think the Necromancer and the Medic are the fairest classes made by fans. Since necromancers offer more free style support and don't use their guns often enough. The medics are more for the front lines alongside Rangers. If one or the other needs healing. The Ranger isn't exactly alone.

Vector rifle on a sharpshooter is a terrible idea especially since a sharpshooter in Xcom does not have the stealth attributes a reaper has. If you are playing without any weapon mods, get the superior expanded ammo (3+3 ammo) and superior auto loader upgrade (3 free reloads) for the sniper rifle. That is 18 shots without wasting a reload point on a sniper rifle, which is absolutely deadly if your sharpshooter is on higher levels and has the 'serial' ability. Upgrade your basic sniper rifle to the top plasma rifle version, use armor piercing ammo, get a superior Aim PCS for the sharpshooter and he/she becomes a death dealer of the highest order in Xcom.

You do know that if you "end" your turn before the enemy takes up position you basically get a free turn? In a squad of 4 put 3 on overwatch, and make one attack either with primary weapon, or grenade, your soldiers take the overwatch shots, if they managed to wipe the pod out fine, if not, you get another turn to clean up.

Have you tried XCOM2 on Beta Strike? Changes everything up a lot. Makes it much more about balancing offense and defense. I love it, personally.

Stun lancers aren't that much of a problem. For me it's the sectoid for two reasons: 1. They are everywhere 2. I have so many soldiers that are scared of them

I'm playing with Beta Strike on Commander. All this dosn't help lmao. A single pod of a Sectoid + 2 troopers has something like 35 health combined total, for a single pod. Trying to do the second mission is a nightmare, even with Flashbangs. I'm nearing end-game right now, and one of the pods was a Gatekeeper and two Spectres. That's 102 combined health total, in a single pod. I'm so fucked why did I do Beta Strike.

Bailed on every early-game mission that a Chosen showed up. This resulted in me being too broke to buy Tier 2 armor after finishing my set of Mag Weapons. Then, I decided to pull a gambit to skip Tier 2 power entirely and go for Tier 3. The end result was 8 dead soldiers, 3 captured, and no colonels by September. Still holding up though.

Well until I kill the chosen hunter (which isn't gona be for probably another month or so game time in my current playthrough), I want a sharpshooter that can move, Lightning hands then fire their primary weapon in the same turn. That's not an option with the default sniper. p.s. the Vektor rifle isn't bad.

It doesn't kill most advent troops with one shot. For units with limited ways to attack multiple times per turn that's bad. At least the reaper gets remote start and claymore. But if you're relying on fast hands every how many turns... I wouldn't have said a word but you claimed to be giving advice.

It is a shitty idea to use "one time only per mission" throw axe ability on a regular stun lancer instead of saving it to a potantial chosen ambush..

Right. Because letting a Stun lancer run free so he can potentially one shot my soldiers is a better one? I've dealt with Chosen on missions without an axe throw before lol. It's not the end of the world to not have that ability to use against one.

I like your dilemma here..; Yes you've dealt with chosen or king archon or queen viper etc, big deal.. But no, the real threat here is stun lancers.. Use every one time only devastating combos(throw+slash) upon just single one of them, so the other lancers can see your divine performance and come to respect you then leave the map in peace.. ;]

lol I get that saving once per mission items is useful for the chosen or other boss-level enemies, but I don't like leaving stun lancers alive especially in the early game in kevlar. TL:DR it's not a sh*tty idea to use axe throw on them.

iBluairJgR first objective is kill the most dangerous enemy on the board. If that at any given time is a stunlancer, you kill him. A Chosen might or might not show up, but an unconscious or dead soldier can‘t use the axe anymore. It‘s just like with grenades. Don‘t die still holding it in your hand.

The majority of war of the chosen tips and hints videos most people are not telling the full story , Right from the beginning you now face Advent soldiers went health went from 3 the around 12 health Captain's health gone up to like 15 or more , And the enemies get tougher and tougher still early in the game With you with limited equipment and that your squad takes nearly all their turns to kill one enemy Yellow targets have a higher percentage of missing Overwatch hardy works as a high percentage will miss you shots every time Snipers are dead weight till late in the game Big bosses early in the game are extremely hard to play against

Constructive: this video was well made, video quality and cohesion of narration was spot on. Yet it was not helpful in any way... most of the advice you gave is very redundant for anyone with more then 2h of experience with the game, while your title is very misleading as you do not touch on anything to do with WOTC... other then the fact you are using a mod (to make a tactical error IMHO, a sniper should not be a mobile unite. If you need mobility, do not bring a sniper. Unless you are facing the Lost, in that case a sniper or templar can clear dozens of Lost for free with the pistol shots.). Cheers.
