I was able to get his claws on without mods, but they sure are snug. This is a quick tweak for that. The neck fix too is sorely needed. I probably don't need the butterfly joints to do THAT much Dremeling. It's a real shame that ANY of this is necessary.

I can't stand it when the butterfly joint is designed but amounts to almost no movement on the physical product. And the claws caused some scratching / scarring on the hands of my copy, so it needed to be fixed

An easy way to butterfly figs is to use A straight razor or exacto knife. Via cutting A crescent 🌙 shape arc out of the torsos outer arm canal(s). > I've never had to remove the arms and open up the inner peg ports, though.. Hmmm..... Maybe that improves articulation even more? I'm not sure, although I will add that step to my "try it out sometime" list.

Awesome. Get some silicon "shock" oil though in a light weight (always use silicone on toys). Much easier to flow it into seized joints and they become buttery smooth. It's a game changer.

For sure. I don't have shock oil with me, so this grease works fine - it's almost the same silicon compound anyway

Ugh… that is a lot of mods to make him better. It’s a shame he needed all those. I didn’t get him because I’m straying away from the more absurd Joes, but he looks really good. He looks better with your mods.

I have used the Spider-Man Gundam marker modded on the across the spider verse marvel, legends, and the armored Spider-Man MK one retro card back! And it looks so good

Had this guy when I was kid. Thought he was goofy but used him as a placeholder for Zartan, but damn, does he look cool as hell now! It's annoying you have to make those kinds of mods to figure you just bought from a million dollar company.

It always scares me to modify figures cause im afraid il break something, but i did successfully take the arms and legs from spider shot and transferred them to the retro carded symbiote spiderman and it looks amazing

Yep and they will keep doing it because people will still buy the figures and fix then ourselves. Same reason Transformers figures are gap filled AF, they can go cheap on them knowing people will buy the various upgrade kits for them.

Great mod. This figure is great but everything is seriously hindered to the max. It’s a tad frustrating but then again we wouldn’t be watching this great vid and able to have some fun with these mods. Got a question. For marvel, Gijoe, etc…what would you say was one of the worst figures that you had to mod in many areas? Like a shit figure that needed neck, butterfly, waist, etc… what one of the most challenging figures you modded?? Keep it up brother!!!

I don't think I've created joints when there were none - usually I'm modding cos the joints are there but don't move as intended. And I won't say challenging but more frustrating when it doesn't move as intended. This Raptor is up there; the other that comes to mind is python patrol Vypra

The butterfly joints are loose on this one, and there's not enough cutout at the shoulder area on the torso to get any meaningful butterfly range. Since you're quick to point it out, u can try it for yourself - it's not gonna be effective at improving the butterfly at all.
