Omg I feel the same way. I truly wish another company would take this game on. This game is amazing. It has the potential to be a great game for year's to come. I don't understand why they gave up on it so fast. I mean when destiny 1 came out there was absolutely nothing to do. I beat the game in 7 hours,however now look at the destiny franchise. Anthem could have been massive. I love this game.

Serveral reasons might be possible. Maybe EA wasn't convinced Bioware could turn this game around. They had about a year to come up with ideas for the overhaul and when they presented their ideas to EA they were turned down. So maybe it wasn't good enough. Or maybe EA in general lacks vision for what the game could be if it was done right. Like you said: Destiny had quite a long way to go. So did Warframe. Both are up and running and have quite a huge following nowadays.

As someone who just got into this game, I must say that I absolutely love watching your videos. You make it look so awesome. Just the movement alone... But at the same time, it's depressing hearing about what Anthem could have been as well. Is there a specific reason given for why they cancelled expanding the game? It seems like Anthem Next was meant to be rather ambitious the way it's described, but the only things that I can seem to find on it are that it was canned so that they could focus on other upcoming projects. As the game still has some life years later, it's hard to imagine that Anthem was just tossed aside because it wasn't doing well. I mean, I've only just begun progressing through it, but I've already had more fun with Anthem than several other high-profile games I could mention that I've tried the past year. It's just all very strange to me.

The game was in much worse shape when it launched and did a lot of important things wrong, mainly a messed system how loot works as well as a lack of endgame content. Thhey fixed quite a fe bugs, expanded the game a bit but ultimately it was not enough. Many people agree there was a lot of potential and the foundation was solid in many areas. So it came quite as a surprise when the rework "Anthem Next" was eventually cancelled and it's still unclear why exactly.

I'm not complaining but there's room for improvement for sure. But since there is no option to re-roll stuff or mod gear it's almost impossible to get 4 perfect rolls on an item. Basically the only actual godrolls are on 3 universal components on my combo-focused Ranger with 35/25 combo impact damage rolls. But like I said I don't want to complain. Took quite a lot of time to get some things and I'm still looking for certain items that just won't drop for me.

Dear Gamers Anthem brings me both great sadness and joy, I had an amazing time flying through with friends and had great expectations for this game. EA is a garbage company that has rid us of quality games, ill be doing something about this when I can.

Agreed. Every time I play Anthem I enjoy the gameplay so much and wish it had a future with more content, better balancing of abilities and guns for more build variety and more possibilities to mod your gear. I look at games like Warframe, Destiny or even Outriders and see what they are doing right (and what they are doing wrong) and can't shake the feeling that Anthem would have been truly unique amongst other games if it had picked up some of the good stuff. I wish EA gave the franchise to a studio who cares and could turn this game into something awesome.

@@XCPTNL the air movement and the feeling of anthem are ust wrong sadly why tehy failed. they originally wanted suits which arent based on the ronmanhype for no reason and rather ground bound suits in a very dangerous dreadfull world that game wouldve crushed it

You can use melee to propel your jumps and it's especially useful for the Interceptor.

Yes, it's a shame they cancelled the overhaul. This game could be so much more than what it is. I totally love the gameplay and it's quite unique. Warframe is maybe the closest comparison but I prefer Anthem and because I love the gameplay so much I'm still playing the game and deal with the crap that's not so good about it.

Not that I didn’t know this game was destined to fail, but man it really disappoints me that I *LOVED ANTHEM* even with all the bugs and low player count I loved the game. I absolutely loved the concept of anthem. I wanted to see this game succeed so badly or at least make some sorta comeback, but the more I think about how they just abandoned the game the more infuriated I become. BioWare as this being my very entry to your Library this is a terrible impression that it took 7 years to develop this game and in that 7 years you still abandoned the game and wasted everyone’s time in the process.

It's the right game done by the wrong company. Anthem would have filled a good niche that Destiny, Warframe and other games don't but unfortunately bad decisions were made by people who apparently don't know how to make it in this market. Very sad...

I love this game. I bought it a year after release so there way basically no bugs left, just lack of content and a really bad single play game. So wish they had invested more into this game. Such a shame! I solo'd these strongholds with my Ranger build.

I hope the next Mass Effect will be awesome again. I played the original series a lot, especially Mass Effect 2 single player for hundreds of hours and a ton of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Andromeda was such a disappointment for me, I even asked EA support to delete the game from my account at some point. I didn't even finish single player and gave up on multiplayer after around 100 hours. I can only hope the next one will be better but my expectations are pretty low at this point unfortunately.

I didn't buy it because I have all three games with all the DLCs and played them all a lot in the past already and unfortunately they didn't include the multiplayer part for Mass Effect 3. But I might pick the LE up some day in a sale to replay the whole series.

With proper leadership and vision at Bioware I think so as well. They had so much time but wasted so much of it before they actually created what was released. Major flaws are present and show a lack of good theory-crafting and bad management decisions. I don't really compare Anthem to Destiny however. There are some similarities but overall they play very differently. Like Anthem being much more focused on using abilities and doing combos while Destiny is more focused on weapons and gunplay. And it's also first person view most of the time. I also don't like the monetarization model for Destiny. I wish Bioware had paid more attention to what Warframe is doing right (and what it is doing wrong). Overall I think Anthem could have had its own place among these titles if they had done a few things better.

I miss this game like I really do and yes I have the option to download it and play it but what I mean is that I miss the fact that at this moment the game doesn't have a future. This is literally the most unique looters shooter I ever played like the fact that you can fly and you're in suits with different abilities just blows my mind. Honestly forming a community and pushing back EA and bioware to come back to anthem and fix it and continue it doesn't sound bad to me...

EA/Bioware won't bring any updates and cancelled the overhaul of the game (known as Anthem 2.0 or Anthem Next) that they were working on. The game has flaws, a lot of grinding and not that much content overall. But I also know that some people who bought the game at a big discount are having fun nevertheless. If you can get it cheap in a sale or at a keyseller I'd say go for it and see if you'll enjoy it.

It's a mix of parts from different three armor sets. Three out of the four parts are from sets that were only obtainable as rewards during seasonal events in 2019 and unfortunately you can't get them anymore now.

Nah, there are much worse games that were DOA. I don't play alone because there is no one else playing but because I prefer to solo most of the time. In fact it's often not that easy to remain solo without anyone joining, even with a small playerbase. A big ignore list helps but I'd rather have the option to set everything to private - like it is possible in most other games.

@@XCPTNL I meant its sad because this game most likely will never see new content, ever. I feel the same with ME Andromeda, spent 70+ hours on Insane difficulty but was sad when realized there won't be any new Arcs arriving

Oh I see. Yes, that is sad indeed. Maybe if they get bought out they will restart the overhaul of the game but at this point I also don't believe that will happen. I've spent around 100 hours in Andromeda's multiplayer until I finally gave up my hope that I will get any better- And indeed, they only made it worse instead when they diluted the ultra-rare lootpool with different variations of existing weapons. So I went back to Mass Effect 3 multiplayer instead. I couldn't bring myself to even finish Andromeda's singleplayer. I tried several times but it never really excited me at all. In the end I even had EA support remove the game from my account. I just hope the next one will be as good as the first three games of the series but at this point my expectations are pretty low when it comes to Bioware unfortunately.

DA4 won't affect me personally because I don't play the series but I'm certainly worried about what ways they find to mess up the next Mass Effect game they teased.
