Great restoration there :) A few things I'd have done different: 1) see if you can re-use the old components (e.g. fan, light etc). If they don't work, replace with new 2) Surprised you went for 12V lead acid with such a device. A multi series, multi parallel Lithium Ion battery pack (with BMS) may have delivered more power whilst being lighter? 3) I'd have tried to incorporate the old AM/FM radio (and everything else) into the new design, if possible. Then take the output of the old setup into an AUX/bluetooth amplifier (using AUX as the radio output). I'd have also tried to fit two speakers in there, or combine both channels (this can be done with a few resistors), so you don't lose one channel. The rest of it is pretty much what I'd have done. The speakers that are included with these things are only rated 1W or 2W maximum and really aren't up to much. edit: Seems like the included speaker was only 0.5W at 8 hms. That really isn't up to much, so replacing the speaker was the right choice.
