Gonna admit, Dark Zone looks really good in first person perspective.

Looks decent but every single animation (reloading, running, etc) bothers me. It's like I got drunk and tried emulating CoD's animation style.

The Finals is honestly so much better than this, but it's also losing a lot of player count now. Time will tell if it stays popular.

Pretty fun game actually, but the hit registration was terrible. So many kills I should not have gotten, and so many deaths where I felt cheated.

Looks like a decent shooter, I'm not really seeing the same clunkieness others have brought up. What would you say sets this apart from other shooters?

Lack of original content, maybe? I mean, half of roster are characters from other games of Ubisoft (fem cry, division, ghost recon), I'm surprised they didn't sneak Ezio/Altair/Desmond as playable characters.

I think this is just a case of doing the "basics" right, there's nothing truly special about this game but it works so well as a fast-paced Arena shooter. None of the Call of Duty bloat, and it runs well, only 25 gigs in size, audio is excellent, you can clearly hear enemy footsteps. It just works I guess.

@@Sc0rp83 Well they've got quite the library of suitable characters to choose from and it IS a Ubi game. It's not like CoD or BF have been running all these years with such original characters. And this is even f2p, so unless it becomes massively popular or makes serious bank, of course they wouldn't waste resources on trying to come up with 'new' characters while they're the billionth arena shooter out there. Not to praise the game, but you can't blame 'em for something like that when this is just another take on the shooter genre... and again, f2p gives them some slack in my eyes. At least for now.

How do you define clunky? I thought it was actually very smooth to play, the animations aren't quite on modern COD level, but everything else was perfect.
