I think, in part, that COD will never go away simply because to Casual people it's the most easy to access game with wide appeal and marketing. You don't need to look Call of Duty up. This is why Ubisoft's XDefiance probably has the best chances, but even then, it's not gonna replace CoD. The Brand recognition and the sheer scale of the marketing isn't there.

like you stated, no matter what call of duty comes out with, it'll still come out on top just because it has solidified itself as THE first person shooter game. don't fix what isn't broke is basically how they are surviving to be honest, it'll probably never be taken over by another fps until the next wave of nostalgia gamers is done and gone. i could see call of duty staying up there for at least another 10 years or so. especially if they happen to come out with another actually good game. I've played cod for years and it just doesn't have that feeling anymore so i hope something fresh can come take its place but its really just hope at this point. the problem with all these games is that they get compared to cod in the first place. there just has to be something eventually right?

Hey Crispy, just a suggestion. I think if you retitled this video with Cod first, it'll help the video be more recognisable. e.g The CoD "Killers" - XDefiant, Boundary, other

Well, the only game that could have actually been a cod killer, SM2, a remaster/combination of all the best call of duty games but on crack, just got a cease and desist from Activision, I truly hate this company now and will keep not buying their games forever, in fact, I urge everyone to boycott them, they just destroyed the only chance call of duty had to actually be good again.
