Kata, or krata, means pan or frying pan. So you get assortments of raw food which you grill on the hotplate. It's really a fun community eating experience. Kind of like how Japanese use the hot rocks to cook beef slices. Oh, and very much like Korean BBQ.

If you have a hard time getting a Thai bank account, try a Visa Agency. Visa agencies have bank connections and can easily get you an account. If you go by yourself, the bank will say NO or they will give you the run around by asking endless documents!
