For all, non US residents. 38lb = 17.2kg (old rear wheel with tyre) 24lb = 10.8kg (old rear wheel, no tyre) 8lb = 3.6kg (new carbon rear wheel, no tyre) 22lb = 10kg (new carbon rear wheel with tyre) calculated. 34lb = 15.4kg (old front wheel with rotors and tyre) 16lb = 7.2kg (old front wheel with no rotors or tyre) 7lb = 3.2kg (new carbon front wheel with no rotors or tyre) 20lb = 9kg (new carbon front wheel with rotors and tyre) Total saving of 30lb or 13.6kg! Damn, that is quite a bit of rotational mass taken out!

I like the standard Diavel forged wheels better, yeah, these carbons don't look as good. Have 4k-5k to throw around? Probably a good investment even though the looks aren't as good. Having gone from a 91 ZX6 Ninja to a GSX-R600 in years past I totally recognize the difference in weight. It was an amazing change. Shaving 30lbs of unsprung weight probably changes the ride quality drastically.

I actually like the looks of the original wheels much more than the carbon fiber wheels but there is no disputing the benefits of the 30 lbs weight reduction and how much it will improve the bikes overall performance and handling. I'm loving your series.

16 lbs off the back wheel!!! That is INSANE!!!! They look AWESOME!!! its a LOT of cabbage but holy crap that is a TON of weight!!! Has to be a COMPLETELY different ride!!! Is it me or did you already remove the clear coat on the carbon ducts??....oh I see it was jsut the dusk shots...daylight you can see they are still shiny...still BADASS!!!

I think. You should have had the original wheel design done one carbon fiber with brushed accents. I like the original wheel design better that the ones you choose. But that's just me. It's still a beautiful bike, stock or customized. What's next on the build list ?

Yeah, the original design might be a bit flashy, but these carbon wheels are just too plain and uninspiring. But for some everything looks perfect as long as it has the carbon pattern plastered all over it, it seems. Of course, the weight saving is ridiculously big, no denying that. But for that price they could have made them look a little less generic. Also, what's the point of weighing the brake rotor? I think the weight difference between the two is negligible.

On the rotor's 'weight savings' you said you saved a pound but really that could have just been just .1lb since the scale doesn't give much of a detailed weight and at some point the scale is either rounding up or rounding down...

You should test your scale for accuracy. Should it be showing pounds and ounces? What happens after you have 10/100 pounds on it and start increasing weight by 1 ounce? At what point does it go from 10/100 pounds to 11/101 pounds? What is the minimum and maximum weight the scale can weigh?

@@JaretCampisi For sure! A friend of mine put them on his multistrada and they look so freakin cool. Don't know if they work better or not but it most definitely won't hurt the performance. I believe they're used in the motogp/superbike championships.

I own a 2019 Diavel 1260... 'Fastest, nicest bike I've ever owned. Aside from the "Ducati Touring Package", and Termignoni pipes (which I'd gleaned from your postings!), and other assorted red bling, I have decked it out in carbon from iLmberger.
