He's using vocal fry which is pretty easy to do. I originally thought it was half vocal fry half effect. Seems like it was mostly his actual voice. It's a really cool use of vocal fry. He did so well with it~~

yasss noise-lovers unite! obviously SKZ and XH aren't metal lol, but as someone who enjoys metal (and rock in general), I like music that punches me in the face with awesomeness!!! doesnt matter what the genre is, just give me good musicality and LOUDNESS! gimme fiery guitar riffs and drums and noisy synths and crazy drops, gimme those 👏 POTS! 👏 AND! 👏 PANS! 👏 jrock has been going strong for a while, and I think it's awesome that Korea's finally dipping its toes in the harder side of rock too! I really hope this keeps going 🙏
