Renee! Our beautiful Gabrielle! She must know by now but she raised a whole generation with Lucy. Xena and Gabrielle our childhood heroes

Renee i remember watching both shows back in the 90s Hercules and Xena what they did in those days was amazing no CGI at all shows were worth watching i remember the episode on Xena called promethus unbound was they did a crossover and where micheal hurst and sarah fisrt meet in characters i was hoping in later episodes Iolus and Gabriella would get together i felt they had good chemistry together

HOST: “There’s always been a lot of speculation over the nature of Xena and Gabrielle’s relationship. Do you feel like there was more going on there than what was seen on-screen? Were the writers working to that?” RENEE: “You know, absolutely. During the time when we were filming it was more controversial. You know we couldn’t really spell out the subtext. So Lucy and I just kind of went around it. We just developed - well, we have a very good friendship - but we just focused on the love. The unconditional love of the characters. And that could be anything, described in any way. And so then when the series actually ended and it was easier for us to just talk about the process of the show, that’s when Lucy and I were like ‘You know what? You guys knew it all along. Yes (they were canon).” Never shying away from the questions, both Lucy and Renee have always been the greatest with supporting and validating what may have been an on-screen subtextual representation of a romantic relationship but never the love. That was as maintext as you could get because I have not seen better representation of love in TV art/entertainment period since Xena and Gabrielle. It doesn’t matter what the nature of their relationship was. That is insignificant because what was explicitly represented on-screen was true love. At this point the speculation on the canonicity of Xena and Gabrielle shouldn’t even be questioned because everybody and their dog that worked on the show - creators, cast and crew - all said they were canon.

Gabrielle! 😍 I loved the Xena and Hercules action hour growing up. The 90s was a better time.

Entrevista maravilhosa! Queria que tivesse durado mais tempo! Tão gostosa de assistir, tão respeitosa! Renée é uma atriz espetacular e parece ser igualmente como pessoa! A entrevista poderia ter tido meia hora ou mais hahaha

She had significantly higher hungarian dubbing voice than Lucy, so she really sounded like a little girl who I loved ❤ so much! I also liked Hercules with Kevin Sorbo, especially the crossover episodes!

Annoying in my news feed for this that it said Princess Warrior & the subtitles spelled Xena with a Z. 🙄

People have short memories they do as if the minorities were always left out which is not so which means now we get to see almost nothing else anymore.

Almost fujnny how people let an opportunity slip to get kids and then are only remembered for what they did more then 2 decades ago.
@tjtenser78288 ай бұрын
Having the opportunity to have kids and a family was important to Renee and she's still doing incredibly worthwhile projects in the theatre getting more satisfaction and creative pleasure I believe than if she'd stayed in just TV and movies

53 years old Renee looks beautiful and stunning. My mum is 54 years old only a year older than Renee and they look like their age. Let natural 50+ years old women age naturally without Botox because it’s refreshing and fortunate to age gracefully like that it’s a privilege
