The Xencelabs Pen Display 24 is the company’s first pen monitor for artists, photo editors, and 3D creators, but they bring a wealth of experience courtesy of the expertise of some former Wacom employees and a parent company with 25 years in business. This is a 4K IPS interactive pen display that competes with the Wacom Cintiq Pro 22, 24 and 27 inch models at a much more affordable price. Build quality is professionally oriented (this isn’t a budget or hobby product). A stand, 8 button remote with OLED display, standard and slim pen and a host of cables are included. It’s compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux.

Looks like a great device, if it's better than the newest Huion's, I don't know. I had a touch screen device and all the false input was driving me crazy. Traded it for a Huion Kamvas 24 Plus without touch and I'm really happy with it. Glad I don't have touch anymore and a remote control is really handy for the missing touch features. Some led indication on the touch remote is cool, but thankfully Huion has the option to have an on screen layout under one of the buttons.

I've been really enjoying all the competition that these companies have been putting out vs Wacom because frankly their tablets are tragically overpriced and I've seen a lot of defects with the artists I follow that have them (they all had a clip holding the power cord at an angle, 2 of them had the mobile studios fail and wacom do nothing to help, another the screen is failing for the 3rd time) and wacom just does nothing to help because they don't care. I've been rolling with Huion for a bit and I've enjoyed their displays as have my friends but XP pen also looks to be solid and now these guys. Awesome.

The Quick Keys device seems to have half the number of buttons as the Wacom EK Remote. I think that would be a deal killer for me unless I could program Wacom's remote to work with the Xencelabs Display. Wacom is just prohibitively expensive at this point so those are no longer in my future. But, I definitely prefer how Wacom does everything. The EK Remote is far better set up than the Quick Keys remote, even at a glance. For one thing, the EK Remote has little indentations and nobs on all the keys so you can use it by feel. You don't have to look at it, just feel the keys. And I would gladly have twice as many keys over having just 8 keys with giant labels on them.

Can you review the new huion kamvas pro 19? I'd really like to see a review from you guys on that one. It was just released in January 2024.

You can get a Huion Kamvas Pro 27 for around US 2K. Slightly more expensive but it is a 27 incher with 4K touch screen. A lot more bang for the buck if touch is a must for you. This reviewed unit direct size-wise competitors are Huion Kamvas Pro 24 4K and XP Pen Artist 24 Pro 2K. I spent a lot of time researching all 3 of them and ended up with the Huion.

Is there any jitter to the pen when drawing fine lines? Definitely interested but that's something I've been concerned with.
@mobiletechreview
@mobiletechreview 3 ай бұрын
There is a little diagonal line wobble when drawing very slowly. Not outside the typical range for a higher end pen monitor, but Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 has a tiny bit less.

@@mobiletechreviewThank you for your review and the follow up comment. I'm definitely going to have to consider this. In Canada the 24 Pro and this are the same price, but the Pro pretty much needs an arm or the $500 stand to be decent, and the Xence seems to have a lot of other benefits (silence and coolness)

@@yotoniha The Cintiq 22 stand works with Cintiq Pro 24. You have to buy a separate Wacom vesa mount but still very affordable compared to the official tank stand. The cooling fans can be blocked or disconnected.

You're late to the party. Great device, but according to other reviews the pen has issues, it's wobbly and wobbly isn't acceptable when you pay this kind of money.

WARNING. I own Xenclabs 24 now. Text is EXTREMELY fuzzy. Also, viewing angles are abysmal. Sitting directly in the middle, if I turn my eyes to the side of the display everything gets even more blurry and desaturated. It’s like looking under the glass. I have to rock left and right to see anything half clearly. The color settings are basically nonexistent. And the shortcut keys on the pens work only when they want to, Right Click, I’m looking at you.

I own the Xencelabs 24 and that is not my experience. I’ve had it for six months. The screen is beautiful. What’s the nano-textured glass, It’s hard to describe the effect it has on the screen. The best way I could describe, it is not fuzzy, but not sharp. I still love to watch media and play games on it.
