I've heard people that believe lets-play youtubers put no effort into their videos and don't deserve any attention. But people like Chuggaaconroy do extensive research about everything there is to know about the game and it's development, talk about personal stories, opinions, and experiences about the game, and he even did a complete 100% playthrough behind the scenes and take notes on every single little detail for these playthroughs. And even after that, there's the execution--they have to be on the spot and funny to keep it entertaining, which Chuggaa does perfectly with his constant puns and jokes. Seriously, these videos are the ultimate time-killers.

Final length if this LP: 5 days, 10 hours, 23 minutes, 59 seconds To say this game is my favorite means a lot to me because I’ve never had a favorite game before it. This game cheered me up during one of the darkest times of my life. It helped me learn about myself and learn how to express myself. It resonated with me emotionally and taught me so many things. While the first game does have a more consistent story, I didn’t resonate with the characters. I found I prioritize characters in a story. I love the characters in this game and I wish they were real. It’s one of the few games where every character meant something to me and taught me something. It’s one of two games I’ve ever played twice and enjoyed my second time just as much as my first. If not more. And it made me so happy to live long enough to experience it. So, with all my heart, thank you. It continues to be a light in these dark times. And while it seems long, it was such a wonderful journey from beginning to end.

As someone who really really loved the first game and initially was... disillusioned with the second, I really appreciated this LP and all the comments that came with it. I still have problems with the game but I also appreciate all the things it did well, I was pretty disappointed with this game on release but over time and on repeat playthroughs it's really grown on me. I now can accept it as something unique and special, its story is a lot more ambitious than 1 and while I think that works both to its favor and detriment, I really appreciate how it doesn't just do more of 1. In growing as a person and playing both 1, 2, and X more and more, I see that every single game has its own niche and can affect people differently and I love them all. In fact, I feel this way about pretty much every Xeno game, save for Gears. Still looking for a copy of that one, unfortunately. I can't wait for their next project and what unique, new experience that will bring. It's much more exciting than any other game I'm waiting on because I know it won't just be a samey sequel.

Final thoughts are in a separate comment. So long Mayne Driver. 1:05 The 2 even has the X shaped scar that’s shown on Pyra’s scarf and on Mythra’s breastplate. 2:40 Solo runs, but then there’s also no reason to give those outside the party pouch items either unless you’re trying to build trust. Neat. 3:05 The Tantalese Porridge was hinted at in her H2H. I have to wonder if Akhos coming from Tantal has any bearing on that. 5:14 Mythra’s self-loathing and thinking that the player would prefer Pyra is also why she leaves such a terrible first impression at the start of Chapter 4; the game was pushing the player to like Pyra more from the beginning. 6:58 Most notable among these I feel are the Torna Blades and Drivers, Malos and Jin aside; Mythra having two portraits; QT, QTPi, Sever, and Cressidus looking a lot different from their final designs, Finch’s, Dagas’s, and KOS-MOS’s being the only Rare Blade beta portraits that were redesigned, and Disguised Pyra having her own portrait. 8:20 I’d say this works for a trailer, but apart from the drums, it doesn’t exactly match the first view of Gormott’s upper levels when the camera is panning around and showing you the Gormott Province. 10:50 Not to mention that Aegis Sword is huge 11:47 It makes sense since Venom Water is the full Blade Combo of all Water Specials. Water can be poisonous for the body too if too much is consumed at once. 13:06 It’s tradition. My guess is the Encyclopedia would’ve been like the Collectopedia and bestiary in XCX. 17:58 Roc’s affinity nodes are locked to Merc Level, not Trust, else you could an A-Trust level Roc on a new file with enough grinding/Love Sources. 22:43 Electra better singer than Rex confirmed. 24:37 I’m kinda sad we didn’t get this one from Torna, but we at least got the autograph line: Minoth: “Sorry about that. I wasn’t paying enough attention.” Lora: “Don’t worry yourself. We all make mistakes.” Addam: “Oh, diddums. Shall I kiss it better for you?” Minoth: “Stuff a sock in it, clown!” 25:44 Normally you’d use both your arms and your legs to tread water, but I guess being a Blade Eater, Zeke has no need. 26:43 “We are connected” is probably in reference to Wulfric’s affinity increasing in battle as Rex follows up with “My thoughts exactly!” which is his response to such lines. 31:16 The funny thing about this recipe is there’s not a single ingredient that could be considered meat (“Fish ain’t meat!”). I guess this means I am not a true Xenoblade fan and shall never be as the channel has since been removed. 33:57 This is the only time we get to see unarmed Nopon in this game fighting at all, so these are “unique” animations (they reuse Tora’s auto-attack animations with the Drill Shield/Mech Arms/Variable Saber though some of the arts seem pretty unique). What’s more, every Nopon is voiced and you can see this in the game’s credits. 39:47 Koko is Tatsu’s Mamapon, Tatsu being the main Nopon “party member” in X. Are you seeing a trend here? 44:54 Monopon is the Nopon mascot of Xenoblade’s Twitter account. You are fighting official Xenoblade Twitter itself. 53:40 It’s a difference of maturity but it’s also a difference in their outlooks. Rex needs to believe himself strong enough to wield the Aegis’s power, or else there’s no way he’s going to keep his promise to Pyra and get them to Elysium. 1:03:55 That was not my intent, but thanks? 1:07:20 Hundreds is right! Even in my many hours grinding Anise to get enough SP to immediately fill out the Hidden Affinity Charts in NG+, I never once saw an Idea Stat level up. 1:12:12 The only other time this happens is in the Slithe Jagron fight after Minoth joins the party, but you’re probably not going to need to change things up there unless you want to give Minoth aux cores and a better Core Chip than his default. 1:14:37 Temperantia, Spirit Crucible Elpys, the Cliffs of Morytha, the Land of Morytha, the World Tree, and all themes of the First Low Orbital Station all have themes that are not dependent on the time of day. 1:18:31 Uncle, but Tantalese history may remember Addam as a brother to and not the illegitimate son of the last Tornan King since Addam was named the rightful heir to the crown.

Over the course of an LP, a man will see uncountable meetings and partings. That is the best way I can describe how I have changed as a person from when this LP started to now. I have done many things and have experienced so much. Some of those were some of the best times in my life and some of the worst times of my life. I met so many people and most of them have left my life via various means. Yet throughout this LP went on and on and on. I remember one of my friends was really excited for this LP but I remember I was kinda scared. I recently played and adore the first game on switch and I heard mixed things about this one. I think I wanted X more because of that. When the game started I didn’t like many of the characters. I thought Jin was a stereotypical mysterious bad guy with fast sword moves, Nia was a tsundare with a welsh accent, and Rex was definitely no Shulk for me. Overtime all of the characters got better and better, especially Jin who is tied with Malos for being my favorite characters in the series. The biggest shift was the end of chapter 7 and the start of chapter 8. I remember so many videos and where I was when I watched them and those memories I will cherish. In the context of my entire life, this LP might only be a small moment in it, but I will cherish it for an eternity. After the main story ended I was so interested about what Torna the Golden County was about and bought it all on its own! I loved it! It honestly made the entire experience way better. Just seeing all of the context to many events in the story. The credits to the ending of torna made me tear up and your words about how everyone has changed during the run time of this LP made me break down because it has been such a long road for me, you, and nearly everyone who made it to this point and to some of the people who couldn’t. This Black Friday I bought the main game because I feel like I had to after experiencing your LP of it and it has been a lot more fun then I was expecting. That might be because I got KOS-MOS and Dagas early plus I was barely able to beat and obtain Elma as a permanent party member in chapter 8 (I had to use custom difficulty but the fight was so intense that it didn’t feel like it). Overall, thank you for showing me Xenoblade. I remember when you did the first LP when I first found your channel I was mad that it wasn’t Pikmin 3 and “Why would he play an adult game”. I went from that to it now possibly being my favorite Video Game series. And it only has 3ish games in it! Hopefully more soon. Just…thank you Emile. For the past 8 (but more like 6) years. This has been one of your greatest adventures and I bet the future has even more great adventures. Edit 2/9/21 well Xenoblade 3 is announced and it looks so good! Well X already made this series have 3 games now we have a series of 3 with X on the side.

What a ride it's been, truly an amazing sight to see this LP finally complete. It's been a frequent light in these dark times - emotional, funny and interesting all in one, and it's been great to see everyone else that's been brought into the series thanks to this too. Thank you, Chuggaaconroy. Thank you for that gift of light.

I have to say, thank you so much for making this series and including TTGC. It helped me get through the tough years of 2020 and 2021!!! I love the passion and depth you put into all of it ranging from covering the hidden lore, to properly voicing almost everyone wearing a helmet!!! It is quite clear you love and enjoy this series and your Let's Play has made me want to get ALL 4 games on the Switch!!! Cheers to perhaps doing Xenoblade X or 3 in 2025!!!

Over the course of my experience with this game, I struggled in my comparisons to the first title. To say that with this LP, this game was pushed into my Top 5 favorite JRPGs is a understatement. This is a game I carry with me, on my person at all times. I truly love this game, with all my heart.

the timing of the end of this video was at the same time I had heard news about loosing a very close friend of mine in an accident. I had been watching this series from the start and loved every moment of it and, despite my friend not playing this game or watching along with me, seeing this video after comforting those who were affected and giving myself some time to cope really made this video all that more impactful. Thank you for everything you do Chugga, your videos have been there for me on many occassions, and this one is just as special.

A lot has happened over the course of this LP, some good some bad, but mostly good. In the story finale I said I was about to graduate college, and as of now I can say I successfully did! I can say with confidence that this has been my favorite LP that you’ve done. XC2 is my 3rd favorite video game of all time, and seeing it played through was amazing. I learned a lot of new things about the game in the process, and even a few more things because of this wonderful bonus episode. To say this game means a lot to me is a lot. As a final thing to end the LP, I’ll say this: Thank you so much for playing through this wonderful game, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future.

I'll admit, I was thinking of not watching the entire LP, I knew how long the first game was and didn't know if I'd even enjoy it. But damn am I glad I watched all of it. I can say without a doubt that this game is my favorite of all time. I have only a few others that rival the amount of time I have spent playing this game. But none are so fun or emotional or story driven like this one. Thank you Chugga. Now take a long break, you've earned it.

28:23. I freaking had this happen to me recently!!! It was just before I was about to lose Pyra/Mythra to Malos and I wanted to finish up a few quest and Merc missions. While I was waiting I decided to fight a few unique monsters to pass the time. I don’t remember which one off the top of my head it was; but it was being a pain in my ass to take down as I was trying to finish a Blade combo with Pyra. Suddenly Mythra appeared just after the combo was delayed by the monster knocking me back. It definitely startled me and I had thought I had accidentally called her and tried to go back to Pyra to finish the combo… but Mythra refused to switch back costing me the combo and killing me just as the monster had a small chunk left. I thought I was having button issues at the time; but hearing this mechanic definitely explains WTF happened at the time.

so surreal to see my own comment in the video! im glad that i was able to contribute something back to this incredible project after all this time! i played along with you every day from the very first and it was such a wonderful experience. you kept me company and gave me something to look forward to doing every day, and because of that this game always felt fun no matter what we were doing that day. i actually bought this game the day it came out after having played the first xenoblade on 3ds following your lets play, but i didnt get far in xbc2. i was just nervous i wouldnt like it as much as the first, and was so excited when you announced you would be doing a playthrough of it. my experience of the game was enriched for having been able to do it alongside you, and i love it dearly. thank you so much for all that you do, and i cant wait to see what you do next!

Things I wish we got to see in Torna: more rare blades in previous lives, in particular if Dagas' country actually existed. What Temporantia was like before the Aegis war. A few more flesh-eater blades, to get a proper comparison of how Minoth and Jin stack up. More Mikhail. Another gods damned rare dog blade like holy cannoli why is Dromarch the only one in existence this makes exactly zero sense! An actual Noppon driver, we know they exist after all!

Well, this'll be a ride. Guess you didn't decide to split it after all, but having all the bonus episode content in one place is convenient. 1 and a half hours was actually less than I was expecting though, I thought unsplit it'd end up being 2. I'm going to watch this whole video even though I saw the beta, because it looks like there's nearly double the footage. Xenoblade 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I think Xenoblade 1 is objectively better, and easier for new players to like, but 2 felt so much more "special" to me after I stuck with it. There's something about its story and characters that resonated with me a lot more than the first game's, and as I've said before, it came when "The world may be full of awful things, but that doesn't mean we should give up on it" was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. And in that way this LP came at a time when that's also relevant. To me, there are two types of Xenoblade 2 players: those who drop it after Chapter 2 because "anime tropes", and those who end up adoring it. It's a shame the first faction was... particularly loud during the game's early days, which turned a lot of people away. I think Xenoblade 1 being so good was working against the sequel here: it had a LOT to live up to, and I feel like it's best to put the first game out of your mind when playing this, as hard as that might be. The Blade designs are really the only complaint I have with it, as they do hurt its impression to a lot of people and can make the story hard to take seriously. Though I heard that recently, Pyra and Mythra saw a huge surge in popularity from fan artists due to Smash alone, even among people who've never played the game. I hope this encourages more people to check it out. Speaking of... wow do I have a new appreciation for Pyra and Mythra now. They are now easily my favourite Xeno characters period, and possibly among my favourite JRPG characters. It takes a while to fully understand what's going on with them, but once you do... Once again, congratulations on doing a full 100% Let's Play of this enormous game, and having every video be its own coherent topic. The amount of planning that had to go into this must have been crazy. It's been great experiencing this game again. And did anyone ever point out that Lasaria Woodland's music sounds like Greensleeves? I'm personally with you on "Rex MIGHT be Addam's descendant, but it doesn't matter." I like that Rex isn't a hero because he comes from some great bloodline, he's just an optimistic guy who genuinely wants to help people.

Man, I can't believe the LP's over, I think it might be up there as one of my favorites! Before the series started, I personally thought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 didn't live up to the first game, that quickly changed. The story of the Aegis ends here. 0:41 Protecc this smile, may she, Rex, Pyra and Mythra live out the remainder of their lives in peace. 3:40 If Sora was a Blade, having the Glide ability just to explore the vast lands of Xenoblade without falling to death would be a treat. 4:07 Lora may have unintentionally gifted Rex a home he could go back to and Addam housed the 3rd Aegis Sword next to him. 4:51 To be honest, my main character Tenka feels a very similar way. 5:04 Poor Mythra. 5:22 Selecting Pyra for Pneuma makes sense for new players because of Rex’s journey, but Mythra makes sense when you see the bigger picture. 5:52 thinking back Mikhal’s sacrifice could be sort of the closet thing we get to an apology to Mythra for blaming her of Milton’s death. 16:20 A Lila QTpi would have been awesome! 17:23 How about a headpat and hug? You’re awesome Nia. 17:30 I ship them, they must make and introduce their Flesh/Blade Eater babies! 18:04 Vandham is still with us… 😢 18:14 AHH 😱 18:41 Forming bonds with former enemies. 18:51 Such respect! 18:54 Such disrespect… 19:45 Jin is such an arsehole 20:06 Lol 😂 serves her right for being bossy the first time… 20:22 😢 23:28 R.I.P. Fourth Wall. 25:11 Seriously? 25:40 Maybe I should do that some time. 28:50 Mythra cares, but she’s calling you out for not using her enough because she’s stronger. 33:50 Tora shall be named Riki’s successor at long last! 40:48 Elma is surprised. 46:44 Rex: Nice try Tora… 47:00 Elma: Awww 🥰 47:03 Shulk: I’m sure Riki will be happy to see these pictures. Fiora: Yeah, Kino and Nene will love them too. 1:02:48 Ouch 😓 1:10:51 It certainly makes Amalthus’s final defeat even more satisfying. 1:11:22 Screw you! 1:13:00 Lora’s final battle is nothing but her determination to end her final regrets. 1:13:02 Knowing that this is Jin’s last battle with Lora, it truly hurts. Honestly. 1:13:15 Inheriting her determination. 1:15:55 People like Zeke, Minoth and Nia exist because of him. 1:17:49 Rex, Amalthus and Klaus/Meyneth and Shulk are the drivers of Pneuma, Logos and Ontos. 1:20:00 Come to think of it, Rex’s original design was going to have white hair not unlike Addam! 1:21:45 Rex did his job in showing the Aegis girls that they had a place to belong in the world, that’s plenty. 1:22:30 Hey Vandham, we have lots of stories to tell you, shame you missed out on it.

Gods, glide would trivialize so many sections, like getting to the lower level of Genbu or flying all the way from the Crown of Sanctuary to Fonsa Myma, but it would be so cool to do all of that and more, even just flying along the surface of each Titan at a fast pace.
