I'm quite disappointed this is the end of your backlog of XC2 songs, so many amazing one are missing and I don't really understand how they didn't get recommended to you. However, I'm glad to have heard all your reactions so far, hopefully you'll do some more Xenoblade 3 in the future hehe

Now that we're at the end of the reactions, I am really glad you are playing Xenoblade 2. The story and music are phenomenal, and the combat is amazing once you get past all the tutorials (you're already past the worst of it).

The Golden Country does something really interesting where a few important themes from the main game get sort of reinterpreted. This is one of those themes.

This song does include the main elysium motif, (the string melody at 3:44) it just might be hard to notice when you're listening to random songs one at a time

I couldn't remember what song this was based on the title, and was curious if it was a more niche one that happened to get recommended to you. Then the SECOND the Power of Jin motif kicked in I was completely frozen, it's *this* version of the song. This ending messed me up, man.

This is another version (the dlc one which takes place many years before) of another ost in the game called “the power of Jin” they’re kinda similar but welp If you wanna react to that it would be very cool, it’s dope and Jin is one of my favorite characters ever :)

I know you're not on Torna yet, but it's nice seeing you start to enjoy this game more. You'll hit a rough patch (unfortunately common in the first few chapters) but then something comes up that makes you like the game again. Was basically my experience too, but I was completely hooked from chapters 4 and on and never wanted the game to end.

Agreed, First 4 or so chapters are fairly standard JRPG fare and then it skyrockets into being one of the best games I've ever played

Torna was what got me into this series in the first place! I still stand by the opinion that gameplay wise Torna is the most fun to play out of all the XC games, the music is all bangers and with the story being connected yet self contained it was a great introduction to this universe. Played them all after that but Torna by itself is still my fav

@@ndozer9i can see where you’re coming from, but if 3 was all fan service, then that would’ve taken away from the story that was trying to be told. also if you’re complaining about the base game not having enough fan service, then you clearly played a different game than me. despite being its own self contained story, the amount of callbacks and locations are insane and perfect for life long fans of xenoblade 1 and 2

If you finish 2 and still want more, the 3rd game is such a banger as well. Like the entire trilogy and its dlcs are so so good. Super excited for future playthroughs and looking forward to seeing your reaction and thoughts during the game. Been enjoying your XC2 playthrough.

@@sofern2681 Honestly I agree so much I am saddened to see so many people not like the combat in xc2 because the tutorials aren't the best and there are just so many features to the combat it's very hard to learn. I have issue with some tutorials like the chain attack tutorial and others where you won't really use the mechanic until like late game as most bosses just don't have enough hp to reach a chain attack with a few orbs then full bursts you forget is a thing until you randomly hit it on like the final boss lmao. I think it's a necessity for everyone playing xc2 to watch a beginners guide to combat because otherwise you will never fully grasp the combat. XC2 easily the best combat in the series in my oppinion as I love how smoothly chain attacks mesh in with the main combat and basically anything works. XC1 has fluid but clunky combat and chain attacks felt weirdly designed. XC3 has good combat but ruined by how chain attacks took me right out of the fight with the music in some situations plus how like nothing carried between normal combat and chain attacks it was so far separated I hated it. I do think though Future Redeemed has the second best combat personally as the chain attacks were improved a ton although separate it doesn't matter as it was actually filled out which I liked instead of do the same strategy over and over like base XC3. I'd say torna and future connected are equivalent to their base game combat although some people prefer one over the other (especially in Torna's case) and that's fine.

@@magicanimalboy1 Torna's would be the best in the series if it had 2's Chain attack system. The rapid build up of orbs in Torna really takes away from the highs of really mastering Chain Attacks and Blade Combos in the base game. But in every other way I prefer Torna's combat, chain atttacks are just such a big part of combat it docks just enough points for me.

@@ThatFoxGirl So many people prefer Torna to base xc2 but personally I prefer base game as the customisability with all the blades is far more than a few fixed characters in Torna but that's preference and both are great. I agree as chain attacks are one of my favourite things about xc2 and the others can't come close except Future Redeemed although it is a very different system.
