Segiri my beloved She’s my favourite Hero in XC3 so I’m really hoping there’s gonna be a surge of interest in her in the future so more people will draw fan art! This is the burden that comes with liking obscure characters in the Xenoblade series…

Man it really hurts to see machine assassins gameplay being screwed over by the nature of the game. They couldn’t at least make the superbosses or uniques just resist specific debuffs and not debuffs in its entirety (or not have the art that reduces debuff resist be resistible).

Well the game is still fairly new so maybe this will change in future patch updates.

If I may , I think challenge mode coming in October and the new hero seemingly being mechanic as well ( watched the direct yesterday- it’s quite likely they might introduce smth like that which makes segiri more fun )

@@teun1433 I don’t know just because the new hero is mechanical doesn’t mean they’ll change how debuff resistance works, but it certainly is a possibility just very unlikely imo.

Machine assassin is a really fun class. I hope monolith nerfs debuff resistance for enemies. Also I want TP over 200 to give the player an even more increased damage ratio just so I can have Segiri rip everything apart.

She’s really cool…if only the checks to prevent debuffs were not everywhere important and she worked as intended. She’s just Taion without fashion sense.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. If debuffs - abilities that exist solely to weaken enemies - only work on enemies that are already weak, there just isn't a point. Come on, Monolith. Just lower debuff resist by like 30%. Not enough they all work, but enough to be reliable if you build around it. Or just make resistance down unresistable, that works too.

Lore was she is basically supposed to be the elite fighter for the badguys. They really should have made ger the exception to how debuffs work. Especially when you consider how late you get her. They should have made her a Boss Killer

I love Segiri; I really wish debuffs worked better as well. Wouldn't it be better to switch Shadow Eye and Cross Impact? Your only attack on Taion is Cross Impact, so you can't lose Power Charge except when you use Taion's attack order. This way you would consistently get both Power Charge and Attack Up on everyone during the chain attack. Sena would have had Power Charge anyways for her smash attack because you didn't use her in the chain attack until then.

Ogres would be better for their Reaction boosting skill in starting Break, and with a Break Brooch are almost guaranteed to score a Side Break. With Fiona, you can score multiple Smashes in a chain attack with the extra actions and still have the enemy launched by the Ouroburos round

Hm... It’s ok. I’d rather use a hero that you don’t have to use every turn. But I’ll keep this in mind since I have my party set up but I’m not sure which Hero complements my lineup.

If you don't want to use the hero consistently ashera for easy round 1 amazing and good chain order. Fiona is a signifier gives revives and an extra round in the chain attack. I am a personal fan of kevis spoiler hero who who will go over 100% to but won't end the round. They don't stop you from using your party members in rounds. Giving them veneris ring is the most reliable way to getting amazings in every round. These are the three I consider top tier.

can u make a guide on how to do the most damage with smashes? sometimes i see my smashes hit insane numbers but other times they do next to nothing and idk why

Smashes hit harder at the start of the the launch. Meaning from the time of launch to when you smash has a inversely proportionate ratio. So the sooner you smash after a launch, the higher the damage. In addition to that, you can also apply the same damage logic to the arts which smash. So if you use Mighty Beat from Lost Vanguard to smash, then you should pair it with as strong of a class art as possible to improve its damage. Take Swordfighter for example. Pairing it with Air slash and canceling will grant Air Slash a 475% multiplier tied with the percent from might beat. Using crit boosting strategies and damage boosting strategies has a directly proportional relationship to your damage as well. So in short, optimize your class for as much damage output as possible, then pair mighty beat with your strongest class art, and then smash as quickly as you can after you launch. Swordfighter is my favorite class to do this in, but Flash Fencer can as well. If you use a talent art to smash instead of fusion art with Mighty Beat, it will have lower damage potential since the Fusion art has a higher cumulative damage ratio. Hope that helps!

Debuff is too unreliable to use Machine Assassin or Tactician late game. These 2 classes are bottom tier.
