The deathblows follow a pretty predictable pattern-here’s a hint: Every deathblow combination ends in a fierce attack (X button). So, to find new deathblows, try entering button combinations ending in X that you haven’t already unlocked deathblow techniques for.

Also, gear stats are fixed to the equipment you give them (character levels don’t affect most gear stats, but deathblows known affect the list of deathblows your gears can use). So, it’s really important to check the gear shop whenever you get to a new town and upgrade the ones you plan on using.

Fun fact, Zeke from Xenoblade 2 was heavily based off Bart as you thought haha. Actually one of Zeke's DLC costumes is a color swap to Bart's.

@skyeifer The majority of it, so much interesting lore, and theory crafting, even if legally unconfirmed Xenosaga being in a alternate timeline for Episode 1 makes so much sense! I have an English copy as well, which is pretty cool!
