Xenosaga II to III: A Missing Year - English Translation (Chapter 6, Part 3)

Xenosaga: A Missing Year is a series of flash videos that takes place after the end of Episode 2 and before Episode 3. It tells the story of the Maiden of Grimoire through narration and some scenes thrown in between. The videos were only released in Japan, but thanks to some dedicated fans, the first two were fully translated into English. The project seems to have been dropped, as nobody has heard anything of it in a few years. I took the liberty to download the videos from KZbin (credit goes to akiinfel for uploading the originals) and, using the English translations from the Godsibb forums, put the translations in the form of annotations.
Also note that not everything will be translated; mainly the pop-up boxes that you'll see a few times in each video. That's because I don't have access to a translation of them. However, all of the necessary stuff has been translated, so as far as the voiced dialogue and narrations go, you won't miss a thing.

Thank you, thank you!! Xenosaga/Gears are among the most powerful and epic stories I've ever seen... I want them to be continued more than any other series, and I wish more people knew and could appreciate them. This translation filled in some details I was missing, and temporarily satisfied my hunger for more.

Exactly what I'm planning to do this weekend myself! I would also HIGHLY recommend reading the Pied Piper translation as well, explains everything about Ziggy and Voyager's past.

Shion suffered so much. Having witnessed all of this, I have to cut her some slack for behaving as irritably as she did in the games. And Jin... to bear such a heavy load on his shoulders. It's a dreadful shame that the only game/story Takahashi was able to fully complete was Xenoblade. I wonder if the nature of a project such as this would even lend itself to completion, but even the fragments we have are wonderful. Youthful and self-indulgent as his earlier works may be, I think those of us who feel a resonance with these kinds of stories are better off for it.
