The key thing you were missing here was distance - you missed a few double shots because you were too close and the projectile reached them faster than you could reset. For example, Soraka can potentially get 3 Sundered Sky crits off with just AA's if you have enough attack speed.

He would be fine. Zwag is one of the single most careful LoL players I've ever seen. Listen to him play "I'm not gonna stay here, I know the jungler is around." and the jungler is like...bot lane. I very carefully watched at .25 playback speed and didn't see anything duplicated. The second auto even does slightly less damage because it doesn't have the headshot modifier but does have the titanic active modifier. At one point it was very clearly 725 crit headshot +125 magic damage then 695 crit titanic auto with no magic damage. In practice though the end result is similar enough to not matter. Oddly enough I do see the heal from sundered happen twice though.

Also, the bullet does go to the head both times like typically only her headshot does. Though that might just be from the titanic active. Cait does have auto-reset in her kit on her W headshots, so it may just be that any auto-reset behaves like a headshot, even if it's not actually a headshot. The sundered was also definitely activating twice. Since he has 0 crit chance at 13:25 and when he goes on Sol and he gets 2 crits.

Clearly the headshot duplicate even the animation... only the energizer items didn't duplicate, 725 and 695, 30 dmg is not the difference between a cait headshot and a regular auto. But it is weird the 30 dmg difference 🤔 such a small difference maybe is the titanic extra dmg 🤔

@@peedddro23 He activates the titanic for the second auto. Titanic active adds 30 damage per 1k max health to ranged champs so around 70ish damage at that stage. He also wasn't at the max damage breakpoint for headshot damage since it scales with level. Later on you can see the headshot does 1.2k+ and the second shot does considerably less.

Sundered Sky does not count as 100% crit chance. Headshots ability to critically strike and the damage scaling it gets from crit chance are two separate things.

While true, the amount of damage he was dealing with headshots with only 0% or 20% crit chance early was disgusting. Remember, they nerfed Caitlyn specifically so the Lethality builds would have to sprinkle in crit or so she'd have to go crit in general. 10:36 His headshots were dealing 309-ish with 202 AD when he first bought Titanic (which was 14 on hit, so a 295 headshot). ASOL has 47 armor, so 433 premitigation. 13:25 his first Sundered Sky headshot was 481 with 247 AD (minus the Titanic on hit is a 462 raw crit). ASOL has 56 armor, so 721 premitigation. Per Headshot's text, it deals (at level 13 for example), 1.2*AD plus 1.4875*CritChance. Since he has zero crit chance, the first headshot at 10:36 makes sense: 202 AD plus (at the time) 0.9*AD or 181, for a total of 383 (math doesn't perfectly check out so I assume there's other weird stuff going on in Riot's code or display system). Once he buys SS, he still has zero crit chance and is only level 12, so the bonus damage should be 0.9*247 AD, or 222. This adds to the 1.5 crit of SS, which is 370, for a total of 592. 383 headshot, buy 45 AD, get a 592 headshot crit. Plus the 19 damage Titanic proc, 611 total, premitigation. Seems simple. After 56 armor, ASOL takes 392 damage, right? But ASOL didn't take 392 damage. lol. He took 481 damage. LMFAO. There's 110 premitigation damage (70 post-armor damage) not being explained. Again, I'm not 100% sure if Riot's little damage splashes are entirely accurate, or what other damage reduction or multipliers are at play here like Cut the Grass, however, a sudden "boost" of 100% crit chance to that target would increase Caitlyn's headshot by about 149 damage. 247 AD * 1.5, plus 247 AD * 0.9, plus 1.49 * 100 crit almost perfectly explains the damage. tl;dr - Yes, Caitlyn's Headshots seem to be using Sundered Sky's "100% Crit Chance On Your First Auto" in its bonus damage.

21:13 Here his first auto (headshot SS crit) against Jhin is 708. Jhin has 86 armor, so that's 1317 premitigation. This is split into 22 damage from Titanic, 1.5*371 AD from the crit if the auto wasn't naturally a crit (do we know if the 1.75 crits override SS crits? Or do you lose damage with that item in a crit build? LOL). The last component is the headshot. The headshot is 738 damage. He's over level 13 now, so it's 1.2*371 plus 1.49*crit (30 extra damage?). That would be 475. But I guess the math still doesn't check out, since getting the full "100% crit" calc would still only put it at 594. Of course, if he naturally crit for 175%, then the headshot component would have been 645, which is a bit closer. Either way, the amount of damage he's dealing is absolutely not explainable unless these Sundered Sky autos are being used as 100% crit" by headshot.

To play on what you said, ya LDR is strong even against base armor, late game you as cait still had 107 armor... LDR gave the equivalent of 31 lethality against your armor amount... which is far more than any lethality item would give. Take it against someone who builds a little armor and an item with good value sky rockets in value. Even just a zhonyas on the enemy makes it an amazing purchase

But Sett has an auto empowering ability and you could reset your auto after the first hit. So it might be able to get 3 hits of his empowered Q. It would also be interesting to see how it interacts with rageblade, if the double on-hit occurs twice. Vayne Tumble, Aatrox passive, Gragas W, Kennen W passive, and Quinn passive are also of note. Quinn passive seems like a really interesting one since the projectile does change for her passive hits. The question is, does consuming the mark do the extra damage, or does the special projectile to the extra damage?
