Christian Carbonnel is the perfumer that made Xerjoff Erba Pura, and he also makes perfumes for Al Haramain. He obviously made Amber Oud Gold Edition, although this isn’t advertised (not surprising) The perfume industry is a crazy world. I usually hate clones but as this is the same perfumer I will buy this version over Xerjoff any day.

After purchasing my First Al Haramain “Amber Musk” which is a clone of Ombré Nomade by Louis Vuitton (Get your nose on Royal Night by the Woods Collection 98% clone of Ombré Nomade), I was blown away. Being a huge fan of Tobacco Vanille, I pulled the trigger on Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, which is absolute Fire (performance is outstanding) and now I have my sights on Amber Oud Gold Edition. I have never smelled Erba Pura and have the opportunity to purchase a 6.7 oz tester of the “Extreme” Edition at an amazing price (Do you know where I can purchase a tester of the original Amber Oud Gold at a good price?). From what I understand, Erba Pura is quite a sweet, fruity fragrance, which is not usually to my liking. Which one (AOGE or Amber Oud Gold Extreme Edition) has less fruitiness or leans more in the Masculine direction? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

The extreme is not as sweet plus they added this aquatic note which I presume is from some watermelon or cantaloupe. The amber oud gold you should be able to get a bottle on Jomashop

@@jascentreview Purchased Amber Oud Gold Edition (AOGE) and Amber Oud Gold Edition Extreme (AOGEE). Tested AOGE yesterday at a nearby store (associate sprayed two sprays on right wrist) and was very Citrus/Fruity with excellent projection for 2 hrs, even though I went noseblind very quickly. Longevity was 18+ hrs on skin and more Feminine leaning with prominence towards Melon, Pineapple, and White Musk. Wearing AOGEE today, which is Woodsy, Resinous, Green Herbal, with slight nuances of Fruit and Musk. Absolutely more Masculine leaning with less projection than AOGE. Longevity undetermined ATM. Had a woman which compared the differences between AOGE and AOGEE, she said “This one (AOGEE) smells like the one you had on yesterday (AOGE), but less powdery and more Woodsy” When I asked which one smelled more Masculine/Feminine she confirmed that AOGE was more Feminine and AOGEE was more Masculine. She also stated that she liked the smell of AOGE better even though she said it was “very strong”

@@David_Kragba They are equal in scent quality, longevity/projection and not redundant to own both. Royal Night is closer to the DNA of LV Ombré Nomade and Amber Musk is a more wearable version with more Raspberry/Musk.

@drago4803 nah, erba pura was released in 2013 under the sospiro brand which is the 1 I have in the video, that however is I believe the 2nd presentation upgrade since it's release. The sospiro line was then transferred over to xerjoff in 2019 as the V collection.

From my nose, erba is a lot more pungent and fruity but in a overly synthetic way while al haramain gold edition is not a pungent and is a bit more realistic ( both are pretty synthetic). Gold edition last, no joke, 12h+ AFTER manceration while the original only last about 5-7 hours Projection on the original is 100x better but only for the first 45 minutes, after that it falls off completely while gold edition has a linear decrease in projection Now I’m not a Dua brand fan boy but if your a guy and like this scent but wants a tiny bit of a masculine twist I recommend Dua. It smells 90% similar to the original but that other 10% adds an actual photo realistic melon note which is what I feel like the fragrance was missing Erba pura- 8.5/10 Al haramain gold edition-9.9/10 Dua- 9.99/10

Ya, its just a fraction of the cost, but you smell the $ in between, i like Amber Oud Gold Edition too, but its just not as smooth, you smell tge quality differences, very synthetic and screatchy compared to Erba Pura, and Erba Pura leaves such an intoxicating, extremly sexy trail and that for hours and hours and... The magic you get from EP, you just will not get from AOG, nor from Kirke & Co; so if you already own EP and expect the same juice, you will be disappointed, but if you dont own EP, you probably will be happy with it.....
