I think the reports of having "bad" connections are from using clone knock-offs instead of genuine Scotchloks. There are lots of fakes out there in all colors (the fakes are not all blue as mentioned in the video). I have experienced bad connections with the clones but never a bad connection with genuine Scotchloks
