I love how for Earth the tracks are standard on design (not with fancy loops or twist) except Australia (because it's barely urbanized), and the UK is virtual because it has nowhere to build.

Lake is so good at level design man. First he makes the best levels in any modern 3D platformer and now he's just making some of the best tracks I've ever seen in a high speed racer, and a LOT of them. Don't know how he does it.

I have to actively force myself to put this and the recent Aero GPX demo down so I can focus on other things. Seriously, for Early Access, it's too good a game and fills that itch I've wanted in an F-Zero like title for a long time coming. Amazing vid and skills with the W. Kestrel, btw.

Yeah, this game is unfathomably good. I also played the demo a ton, which is probably why I'm as good as I am lol

which is better, aero gpx or this game? separately, which of them feels most like f zero gx?
@theonewhowrotethis56815 ай бұрын
@MrGamelover23 I prefer Aero over XF, but that's because it reminds me more of X than GX. XF feels like a successor to GX (longer courses, more graphically impressive) while Aero feels like an X successor (shorter courses, more aggressive overall). Both are solid titles, however. It is best to get other people's opinions as well since I'm not a top player whatsoever, however.

the best parts is that you can hear the echos of F-Zero GX music inside some of the tracks xD which is a beautiful call back to what likely inspired this game

this is an insane amount of maps for an early access game jesus christ i can't begin to imagine what the completed game will be like these tracks are really well done and the music are nothing but bangers my goodness

51:15 I'm just gonna copy past my lore rant about Mare's Fall from the Steam disscussion pages here In the Spark the Electric Jester canon the Formies are an alien race that colonized the moon long after it and the rest of the Solar System was abandoned. The moon was then terraformed similarly to the planets in Extreme Formula. In Spark 1 two back to back levels take place in ancient abandoned structures, these being Mare Desert and Luna Base. Not only does this track share it's name with both of those levels, it looks incredibly similar to Luna Base and it uses a remix of Luna Base's theme. Plus it's one of the tracks from the Moon Cup. Mare's Fall single highhandedly ties the XF and Spark canon together. What an absolute unit.

Now I wonder if anything set up within XF’s story mode will become relevant to the story of the next spark game.

Seems very cool, thought it looks like Fuel is a non factor and HULL is too chunky to play into anything, running into rocks head on at 1000+ kph and barely tickling the hull is hilarious. Tracks need more hair pin turns and narrow areas too. But it is early access, looking forward to see whether this one or Aero GPX capture's Fzero better than the other.
@TRJames59144 ай бұрын
In the final version, fuel and hull will not be refilled in-between races in a GP. Also, I feel like XF is more like F-Zero GX and Aero GPX is more like F-Zero X, with each one having their own strengths.
@AssassinAlex4 ай бұрын
@@TRJames5914 Definitely getting that vibe that Aero will be more X and this looks more GX. Interesting that Hull and fuel don't refill. What drains fuel?
@TRJames59144 ай бұрын
fuel is drained by just driving and boosting, I think. I hope it's actually gonna become a challenge, because I've literally only run out of fuel by boosting constantly for about 20 minutes on special mode.

Given today's lack of F-Zero content in the Nintendo Direct, I think XF will hold up quite well

I don't want to distract from the promotion of the game, but if I do (in a negative manner), please delete this comment, I'll have no hard feelings about it. Hello, this is my personal list of all the AG (Anti-gravity) games I could find (that I think are of note); use an emulator to play some if you can't do it officially and look up cheat codes, manuals and see if there's DLC for some of the games. Speedruns are also a good tutorial. THIS LIST IS FOR EVERYONE: Cyber Speedway, 1995 (Sega Saturn) the EU version has the JP soundtrack and has more stable frames. Cyberspeed, 1995 (PS1, Windows) neat concept; for you to gain speed you need to face the same direction as the turns in the track (When the track turns up you go upside down, etc) you can also flip behind yourself to fire backwards and slow opponents. Slipstream 5000, 1995 (MS-DOS). Hi-Octane, 1995 (PS1, Sega Saturn, MS-DOS). WipEout 2097, 1996 (PS1, Sega Saturn, Amiga, WarpOS, Mac, Windows). AeroGauge, 1997 (N64). Jet Moto 2 or Jet Moto 2: Championship Edition, 1997 (PS1) Championship Edition includes Jet Moto 1 tracks, but it has 6 less competitors during races. F-Zero X, 1998 (N64). 360: Three Sixty, 1999 (PS1). WipEout 3 or WipEout 3 special edition, 1999 (PS1). Ballistics, 2001 (Windows). NYR: New York Race, 2001 (PS2, Windows). MegaRace 3, 2002 (PS2, Windows). WipEout FuSion, 2002 (PS2). Quantum Redshift, 2002 (Xbox) this is slightly like Jet Moto. F-Zero GX, 2003 (GameCube) learn how to quick turn because the game never tells you how; you turn using the left and right "air brakes" (L and R, not the official button) you will lose speed when you do this around turns; you quick turn (Drift) by pressing both "air brakes" at the same time then steer with the stick, your speed will increase if you look at the speedometer around turns. Tube Slider, 2003 (GameCube). Powerdrome, 2004 (PS2, Xbox, Windows). WipEout PurE, 2005 (PSP). Sonic Riders, 2006 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Windows). WipEout Pulse, 2007 (PSP, PS2). Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, 2008 (PS2, Wii). Sonic Free Riders, 2010 (Xbox Kinect) this is ONLY! recommended if you play the fan modded "no Kinect patch" by Rei-San to remove the "AWFUL" motion controls, this is available for emulator and official hardware. Fast Racing League, 2011 (Wii). Quantum Rush: Champions, 2014 (Xbox, PC). Redout or Redout Enhanced Edition, 2016 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). Fast RMX, 2017 (Switch). Pacer, 2017 (PS4/5, Xbox, PC). WipEout Omega Collection, 2017 (PS4/5). BallisticNG, 2018 (PC). GRIP: Combat Racing, 2018 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). Antigraviator, 2018 (PS4/5, Xbox, PC). Lightfield Hyper Edition, 2018 (PS4/5, Xbox, PC). Trailblazers, 2018 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). Future Aero Racing S Ultra (FAR S Ultra), 2018 (Switch, PC). Warp Drive, 2020 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). Z-RACE, 2021 (VR). Flashout 3, 2022 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). Redout 2, 2022 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). ArcRacer, 2023 (PC). Pahantom Spark, 2024 (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, PC). The list is meant to have COMPLETED games not in development games; but if I were to mention one, it would be XF Extreme Formula. Celeros does have a neat demo. Non AG sci-fi Racing: Kinetica, 2001 (PS2). XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association, 2003 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube). For the edit, I just added more context to F-Zero GX, added more games, and put the non AG racers in yearly order (not down to the month, of course.
