Actually tho. Using it I finished Long Day with a whole 8 minutes to spare. High Roller even survived somewhat. His death dialogue still played but since I destroyed all hostiles beforehand, his plane still flew. All the way until the mission ended. OP a$$ weapon.

These plane model swap mods are literally of insane quality! I started modding AC7 from a few days and now i understand how many hours of work need to be poured in projects like this to make it happen, really fantastic! Also i know that there is a method in modding that can create new skin slots so anyone can add how many skins they want for their favourite planes, is there any method to ADD new planes and not model swap them? I would love to have the same quantity of playable planes like Ace Combat Infinity😅 (literally they should do a remake for pc of that game it would be so much fun)

I love the fact that the inclusion of the VTOL feature just proves how wrong everyone was when they said VTOL is either too hard to implement or not possible with the engine of the game. Based modders yet again. All this thing needs is the quasar-like effect for the LWSMs and it's flawless.

It only proves how right the devs are. The "VTOL" of the Fenrir is a hover mode in all aspect of direction. Even when you rotate down 180°. That's not called a hover anymore, but an anti-gravity levitation. The game would have to incorporate additional layer of gravity function just for the sake of one or two VTOL planes, which has questionable practicality and novelty for the amount of time to develop.

Words can't describe how happy I was when hearing someone made mod for Fenrir to be exist in AC7. It pays respect to how much OP the Fenrir actually is in the lore, unlike the AC:X itself who somehow nerfed Fenrir when it got unlocked as playable. And how exactly GINARMOUS it is compared to other fighter or multirole planes just like in the lore. I am just fanboying at this rate, cuz I grown with ACX as my first aircraft games... It was obvious from the beginning, just the fact that it is that fast and agile and has a third vtol engine capable of sustaining it's weight in actual combat scenarios requires insane power levels, so insane measures to contain those engines. Still my favourite superplane, it's also one of the most realistic sci-fi aircrafts on ac, weapons apart. It does its best to be a perfect fighter: superior mobility and advanced manouvering, insane speed, next gen stealth capabilities. It's not just an op aircraft by definition, there's some thought behind its concept, not like the wyvern, which is an amazing aircraft, but all that it has is some extra mobility given by the combination of speed management and dinamic wing's shapeshifting that gets totally obliterated by the fact that it can carry AND shoot a railgun almost bigger than the frame itself, even if it could, just the recoil from that thing fireing would be enough to either detach the chamber from the craft or disintegrate the frame in midair. Fenrir's concept did not do this shit, they went for an aircraft that is actually advanced, with incredible mobility and engeneiring choices they made an aircraft resembling a level of camouflageing technology that is almost reality, combined with weapons that would actually exist in order to make fights easier and safer: creating a microwave gun that simply heats up the fuel in the enemy aircraft from a distance and make it explode；long range missles capable of hyper shockwave detonations, in order to destroy targets without the need to come in contact with them. The fact that you don't have the technology right now to replicate these concepts doesn't mean they're not possible, while a fucking birdie aircraft, light and agile with a huge ass EML fireing undeneath the frame and not shattering it with the shockwave is complete fiction. Out of all of them, Fenrir's actually the one that's way closer to reality than we might think. Even the fly-by-mind technology is not too far from reality, plus the cockpit displaying the aircraft exact relative position would be easily doable nowdays with a simple gyroscope and some software effort, of course not as a 3D hologram but pretty close.

No, the mod only works as an “alternative” to the playable version of the aircraft. They cannot create a new slot for a new aircraft (like the Fenrir) but they can take existing plane slots and swap them out. This only works for the playable version of the aircraft. Any SU-30’s flown by AI (Sol squadron, Mr. X, and the mob enemies in DLC mission 2) will remain SU-30’s unless another mod is implemented that changes them. This mod showcased in this video will only affect the playable version of the SU-30.
