Sadly we sometimes don't always appreciate the lead singer in groups even though they all got to sing and shine vocally as a group but we often favour other members more than the strongest singer and only realise just how important their role was in the group when it's too late. I think Liam was pushed in the wrong direction as a solo artist after they split up and that's why he wasn't so successful and had he had the right people directing him he could have been huge, rip Liam, you were amazingly talented and nobody can take that away from you ❤️

Some of Liam’s songs are better than anything any of the others did. Polaroid was a hit. Sunshine is great, teardrops, slow. He had some bangers and I didn’t get why they weren’t appreciated.

I was never a fan of One Direction, but my daughters are. Hearing about Liam was absolutely devastating. Such a talent, voice, charisma, and kindness. RIP and fly high, beautiful soul. Seeing all who slated Liam for saying 1D was formed for him come back to this video to realise, that it actually was purely because of how advanced his voice was back then. If you watch all the live shows, Liam is the only one to have a solo in every single performance (Week 1 Harry didnt). It might not have been "Formed for him" in the way everything thinks or in the way he maybe tried to portray in the podcast, but way back at the start he was the front man for sure. Rest Easy Liam

Liam, Zayn & Harry were essential to the group in the beginning vocally - the other two not so much. Louis personality was a great addition to the band and the weekly vlogs really won a lot of new fans over but his voice was not great. Niall was just along for the ride but he's now developed into a great singer, songwriter & performer.

Everyone used to say that zayn and harry carried 1D, but when it comes to their music it was definetly Liam, his voice was the most stable and mature, but when he said that everyone bullied him, he spent the last days thinking the whole world has turned on him💔

With these things it takes more than having a great voice. Liam‘s voice was well trained, versatile and he knew how to use it, but as they got older Zayn‘s and Harry‘s voices improved and they brought their flavour to defining the 1D sound. These three voices stood out to me. Unfortunately, the public which builds artists up, delights in dragging them down. I hope the other guys have robust support systems in place to keep them grounded and help them navigate life. May Liam rest in peace 🙏🏽

Liam was, by far, the best audition. Really surprising the others made it as they were all off key except Liam. The other three show that you can be pretty marginal and make it big after all!

I know he is gone but I just can’t get over the fact that Cheryl had her eye on him from the second time he auditioned at the young age of 16!!! After I think as all the other members too having stress and exhaustion from making and selling music. The band parting ways. Then he had a child at a pretty young age and then a separation. That’s a lot on someone’s plate that was as young as he was. This just my opinion. May he rest in peace.
