They can tell them that singing isn't for them and say no during the jusging without completely attacking their self esteem! I felt bad for Charlotte. I remember when I had to sing in front of a crowd the first time my voice just wouldn't come out, but generally I am ok when I'm relaxed and sing by myself. I feel that maybe in her own space without the pressure of people sitting and judging she might actually be good. I hope she's doing well now. Yes. I don't think she sang the first song well and her attitude did her no favours but I liked the tone of her voice. Much better with her own song which is often the case with singer/songwriters. I even saw her friend cringe a bit when she was giving bad attitude so I am guessing this is something she had seen before. Glad she came back with a bit of humility. I said clearly that I had no idea who she was and I was curious to try to understand why some contestants didn't respect her. When I started doing my search, I found that there hasn't been much information about her for years and that she doesn't look like she did on the show.
