In a league where competent QBs are like diamond encrusted platinum bullion, Vegas just handed one of the best ones to Arlington, and now we see the effects. Arlington was always solid on D and at receiver, now that Perez has had a month to develop chemistry look what happens.

@@arvisjaggamar I would say that QB play in the league is good. Jordan Ta'Amu, Ben Dinucci, Aj McCarron, Luiz Perez and Jalan McClendon are all solid. Even Quinten Dormandy was pretty good at times and never was the reason for his team loss. I would say that Kyle Sloter, Jack Coan and Drew Plitt certainly sucked though.

I'm happy they finally finished a season but now it seems everything is too corporate and cheap. I understand that it is a far more competitive market but if 2023's XFL play had the 2020 XFL branding then this league would easily be seen as better than the USFL. I hope they figure it out in year 2.

I made the comment a couple weeks ago... If Arlington played championship defense all year round and said if they could find even a semblance of an offense they would be champs. And now a losing team could realistically win a championship. They found just enough offense to make it happen. I don't think I have ever seen a sub .500 team win a championship ever. This very same team got waxed by Houston's subs just last week. The XFL could make history with the ultimate underdog story. Not an Arlington fan....but needs applauded👏👏 Congrats Renegades.

I don't know how there going to do in the xfl championship like they lost against the sea dragons 24-15 on week 7, but they barley made an upset win over DC defender or week 9 losing 28-26 at overtime, so who knows with team of the north is going to win, I just hope the renegades are ready for a rematch with one of them in 2 weeks from now.

I realized recently that they had to design the playoffs so that a Texas team was guaranteed to be in the playoffs and likely to be in the Championship game - since the Championship is played in Texas. This way they could guarantee some teams would actually be at the game since I doubt many XFL fans are going to travel much at this point. So they put all three Texas teams in one division and guaranteed each division two playoff spots (ensuring a Texas team makes the playoffs and probably the championship).

I’ll admit I’m a Perez fan, have been since the 2020 XFL season when he turned things around for New York, After Matt Mcgloin (or something similar to that) acted like a little kid on the sidelines. So I’m obviously biased at little on this subject. But why in the heck did Houston let Perez do exactly what he does the very best. The one thing Perez can do is gunsling, if he can sit in the pocket, he has the arm to make every single throw.

I didn't think the Roughnecks were as good as their record indicated, but this loss is embarrassing. Let's be clear, the Renegades are not a good team, and I hope they win the Championship, because the XFL's goof of allowing a bad losing team into the playoffs should be rewarded with the ultimate ending of absurdity. Next year XFL, best records only. If the damn WNBA can get that right, so can you. This isn't the CFL. I don't even like when losing teams make the playoffs in the NFL, but at least when that happens they won their division outright in order to qualify.

Next year, playoff seeding should be: (#1 Seed) - Division Champ w/ best overall record. (#2 Seed) Division Champ w/ second best record. (#3 and #4 Seeds) Best records regardless of Division. This rewards Division champs AND teams who won despite not winning their division. I'm not gonna diminish the Renegades' big win. Their D is top flight. But they are not one of the 4 best teams in the XFL, this season. I hope XFL modifies its postseason rules next season.
