The Only Way 2 FLY is From the Ground ! I Salute your Wild & Crazy Missions

Great idea about the German paint scheme as I also saw some old photos of their experimental designs with engines on wingtips. Thought about adding wheels myself as it would be pretty easy without adding much weight or drag but decided against it because I imagined it could suck in debris with the intakes so close to the ground. I have some videos of my initial flights, this thing is great!!!

This is a really cool plane but very difficult to fly. Because it has thrust vectoring plus elevon control it has a bad habit of tip stalling under reduced throttle. It seems like when the edf's are in the thrust vectoring mode they are over powering the elevons in the turns. Captain Drone did a review with this plane and he was having major issues with it, it crashed several times while making a turn. We suggested reducing the throws on the elevons and add more expo and also reducing the amount of rpm going to each edf while in thrust vectoring mode. He tried all that and said it flew better but what he ended up doing was disconnecting the thrust vectoring and just control it via the elevons and stated it's a joy to fly now....

I watched those videos and it's unfortunate he had troubles but my experience was quite different. I have flown wings before this one. I reviewed several YT videos before flying for tips and CG is critical as well as launching in the correct flight mode. Battery should be as far forward as you can get it, generally speaking. Insure differential thrust is not reversed, when yawed, the lagging wings motor should speed up. Launch in locked (self-level) mode and it's a breeze - never had a problem with launching this in the least. Warning! The only problem I had (which is also shown by another guys YT video named Dr. Cho) was when landing one needs to cut the power because she really wants to glide. Flies fine power off but what happened was when I was getting close to touch down I added a bit of throttle to adjust for desired touch down point and was about 4 feet off the ground and the craft immediately yawed out of control. I think it has to do with throttles re-initializing after a long flat glide with power completely off. The cure is simple - when landing I now just make sure not to re-engage throttle and just committ to land. No further problems and I love this wing, the dual EDF's spaced far apart give an interesting sound effect and this model is tons of fun!!! Oh yes, be sure to go with higher expo and rates than you normally would because she can be pretty sensitive otherwise!!! There are videos on my channel showing launch, some flights and my loss of control at the landing just like happened to Dr. Cho in one of his videos.

You'll be very happy with the M18 chainsaw, and those 12Amp batteries are the bees knees for the high drain tools. I've got the M18 magnet base drill, and its fantastic for onsight jobs, and within the workshop. No power cords dragging everywhere

I have this model. I fly with 4s 2600 all the way forward. Let it get some speed up before turning and keep a bit of speed up when landing. Flat spins are crazy with differential thrust. Enjoy.

those wing tip motors look like very powerful drone motors. I scratch built a small 27 inch airplane and used a drone motor and its a very fast plane !

A really exciting flying wing this. I bet it's pretty difficult to fly though, even with the giro enabled. I like the fact that it's got a nice long carbon spar, this looks like the kind of bird that might take the odd tumble. Big salute as ever from London. ⭐👍

This wing doesn't seem like a good idea , but the saw does .
@michaelwhinnery16411 ай бұрын
That model is gorgeous. Putting the weight of the EDF's way out on the wing tips is a bad idea.. this plane would fly better if the EDF's were positioned at the center of rotation... with the computer stabilization off this model will have a difficult time getting in the air. I predict it will fly but in a dog fight this plane would get chewed up by the Same plane with EDF's at the center. Good luck with the maiden...

it's funny this is what you're not supposed to do with propulsion on an airplane ha (in case 1 fails) but ehh
