@SamTheWhoStan destroys the hype tho. With a weekly release the hype gets prolonged for much longer + it makes it easier to discuss specific points in the story (coz you have to wait a week before the next episode, so it makes for more discussion of whatever happened in the latest episode). With a batch release you only get hype for like 1 month after the release before everyone has watched it all vs 12 weeks (~3 months) if we're talking 12 episodes (which I wouldn't be surprised if SBR gets released in seasons/cours). It's fair enough if you like to binge it, I know alot of people like binging and even wait until an entire season is done airing, but the batch release is horrible for community hype

It’s just like I said, everything is falling into place- This year marks the 20th anniversary of SBR where they’ve clearly started it’s anime production, next year is the 21st anniversary of it in this 21st-century where Viz will finally start releasing the official English release of the part 7’s manga, and 2026 is the year of the Horse which by the end of it on December 1st is the 40th anniversary of the franchise and would be a full 4 years since StoneOcean ended, so we’ll either be getting the SBR anime debut by the end of 2025 leading up to the end of 2026 for the 40th anniversary or on it by the end of 2026 itself, no later than that. TL;DR JoJos Part 7: SBR ought to debut between December 1, 2025, and/or December 1, 2026.

@@michaeldwyer2244 christianity isn’t a super big thing in japan, heck no religion is. most people are casual unless they’re heavily into shintoism and buddhism, and the traditional rites japanese people do in relation to shintoism (going to temple shrines, etc.) are more cultural at this point than devotion to religion. i mean, they even have a ton of anime and manga featuring jesus other than jojo (saint niisan and shuumatsu no valkyrie) and even then, jjba is popular as heck and sbr released ages ago, most people who consume jojo have read it already and know the story. no idea why you think it would be controversial there.
