Hikaru will not be joining XG. She might lead a new girl group from XGALX. Simon and Jurin already confirmed this and gave her the best of luck on her next chapter after kep1er

The Great thing about this Docuseries is Simon was an Idol in a group called DMTN in South Korea, He understands the hardships of the Idol Trainees and idol culture and a what great way to perfect idol culture is by having someone who understands it and went through it themselves as the CEO

Hikaru is not joining. Which is fine because if she did it will be a "too many cooks in the kitchen" type of situation. And I agree. The thing I love about K-Pop is that you feel a deep connection with the artist. Maybe it's because of a survival show or the predebut content. Not to mention the many variety shows, vlogs and other self-produced content where you get to see your favorite idols in a new light. My favorite Western artist right now is Bruno Mars but I don't really know him much outside of his music and the 1 or 2 interviews he does every couple years. Not that it means I can't enjoy his music but I do feel a closer personal connection to say a Chungha who I've been following since she was on PD101 (a survival show).

Ohh really? I agree that XG doesn’t need any new members but I also feel like Hikaru would be a great addition to the group as well. I’m kind of conflicted😭

His upbringing and experience is the foundation for who we know is XG. The passion, motivation and work ethics XG have to achieve their goal is reason I believe why everyone is genuinely supportive of them to make it to the top. Speaking of support have you seen Jackson wang and CIARA perform a remix of XG LEFT RIGHT at Coachella. As for hikaru joining XG I think everyone even me took what was said out of context because the very first question the interviewer asked Simon already it was assumed she would join and Simon answer was also taken the same but he said is “yes once kep1er disbands, the members will return to their original companies( AVEX ). Upon her return ( AVEX ) they will have discussions with her about her future and joining the group” nothing was concrete we assumed that it was and from everything I looked up what I’ve read is that the time xg and hikaru . As talented as she is and she would be a good fit with XG but if she was originally to debut with XG then why she leave her training or maybe she didn’t make the cut cut and then decided to join girl’s planet to debut with kep1er. How would the dynamics of the group be? What would she bring to XG with all the talent XG already have if she was to join. More importantly how good is her English. In the end we’ll just have to wait and see. Have you seen XG in their first variety show idol league? You’d be surprised to see who the 8th member of the group is

Hikaru didn't make the cut, Airi was the 8th member you will see soon. Hikaru was allow to join GP999 to gain more exposure.
