If I had to guess the tears is what they later used to transport. In the New Dance MV they all transported from their space ship to Earth via what looked like bubbles. It's especially noticeable at the end of that video with Cocona.

In the explanation for this video they say it is about xg exploring and experiencing the universe. When they were asked about similar tear becoming a diamond in tgif they mentioned it was representative of blood sweat and tears you feel in experience and how it all builds character or diamonds.

Hasn't anyone told you guys yet? XG has a storyline where they are alien wolves from another planet. Their real forms are wolves, which is why they sometimes transform into wolves. They left their planet to travel the galaxy and visit different planets. Thays why they reference wolves, aliens, packs, moons, in their songs and their outfits, nails and MV look so wacky and weird. Its because they're not human.
