The vocal talent in XG is beyond ridiculous. I remember when I first searched them because I heard a snippit, and was curious. The fan profile listed Chisa and Juria as exceptional vocal talents. I thought at the time I would be the judge of that. About ten mins later, I was listening to Shooting Star and Left Right. I was just confused, I could not believe what I was hearing. Juria and Chisa have two voices of their generation. Some of the other girls might just be a step behind, they are just so young, so plenty of time to develop. XG are exceptional, I can remember my father playing ckassics from the 40s in the house on Sunday afternoons and my sisters playing the latest Beatles records. I have even seen ABBA live. But there has never been anything like XG ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

10:45 was live, unprocessed vocal. But the end result/the full cover was pitch corrected, which was unnecessary for a vocalist as talented as Chisa. I wouldn't disagree with those saying that Chisa's vox (not only Chisa's, all the other voxes have most likely been pitch corrected, as well) was not live, but if they thought it was because Chisa couldn't sing live? Hell no! I bet her raw live vocal would sound better than the pitch corrected one that we heard. Her live solo performance of "If I Were A Boy" in Hong Kong is an example.

But just look at her, cutie 🦄❤️ Yeah, I despise all the haters say “all they do is lip-sync”. Not their fault that they’re very stable live even doing choreography. Simon was very particular about that. If you can’t do it live, he’ll sideline you and train you some more. But he made sure you can do it and have fun with it. 5:25 7:40 and do not sleep on Jurin’s range either. All I can say is WWY really showcased all their ranges. Even with Maya and Cocona. @@andrea_1819 K-pop only sings in unison. They never do harmonization. At least this generation. Back then they did live singing but the harmony you hear in the album they never apply during their live performances because some of those vocals are not theirs. Boygroups are mostly doing it but not girl groups. Nowadays so far XG has been consistent.

Thank you for compiling this! My ears are again blessed with their vocals. Chisa and Juria are vocal beasts. To sing along with these two, you'll sound (at least) bland if you don't have the skills. And we can hear each of their vocals here, none of them sounds bland. The issue they might have is pitch, and I just realized this because of 8:00. Harvey is the one with the most unique voice; I know several vocalists with unique voices who will get stuck when they sing high. Cocona is the one with the lowest tessitura. If, say, everyone gets equally pitchy, she will be the first to get stuck. And they are the rappers. The rappers from the other groups that I follow also have similar issue; they get stuck once they sing high. It makes me think that the placement that works best for rapping may not be the ideal placement for singing. 🤔 Notice how they skipped the high "Days" at 8:19, they knew they'd get stuck. But if we look past the pitch issue, they actually sound nice. The "ho~~~~w" at 8:15, isn't it beautiful? ♥️ They didn't just go straight "ho-w", which would be bland and ruin the vibe of the song.
