XG officially hit top 40 US radio charts. First Japanese female act to ever do so. So proud of them. Hopefully they start getting performances on the late night talk shows like Blackpink and Twice have been getting. That will really widen their audience.

Agree with Chisa's voice sounding mature beyond her years. As much as i am always impressed with Juria's vocal capabilities, Chisa's voice just resonates with me more and i think part of the reason is , in my opinion ofc, that her lower register is a little stronger and that her voice sounds a bit fuller. Like if i would make an analogy it would be that their voices are both like an amazing fine wine but Chisa's is served at the perfect temperature

I think it’s bc Chisa’s voice is the most suited to throwback 2000s RnB that the group is channeling. Juria’s voice is amazing in its own way and I think her vocal tone is rnb as well but it will continue to mature as time goes. Chisa’s voice is already kind of at a head start on that direction. They are the perfect duo though for sure. Juria’s runs are 🤌✨

I see it as they both have an R&B base to their vocals. Chisa however leans more to the jazzy mature side. Sade or Jill Scott for example. Matter of fact the first time I heard this she reminded me of Amel Larrieux. While Juria leans more to the pop side of R&B with a little church sprinkled in with her runs and ad libs.

I agree. Chisa's voice is so strong while Juria's is softer. But, as you see in this song, Juria can project when she wants. All of the members are multi talented. The rap line can all sing as well. And they are all great dancers. I really hope they pick up steam as they start to get more western eyeballs. Nice reaction ✌🏾

they basically have the chiaroscuro affect, meaning one is light and bright while the other is almost opposite. it's like they can't go without each other, like day and night

You’re right about them singing the songs they love listening to, Simon said in a video that XG is pure. The songs they chose to cover wasn’t a strategy move just purely because they love the music, he also mentioned during their trainee period they worked hard AF. Watching interviews with Simon also really gives more insight about XG, I mentioned this before that his upbringing and experiences is the foundation of the girl group he wanted to put together that we now know is XG. I’m sure it’ll all be explained in their documentary series when it drops.

Chisa and Juria are the vocal 1, 2 punch combo that knocks me out! Hinata didn't sing much on the first two releases because she was less confident with her English. Please do the other Voxes. Hinata's song is super cute, and Juria's is super different. Would love to hear your thoughts on that one!
