Something even I had forgotten about is that the first episodes of Xtra Xtra came out at the same time as Three Meals A Day, XG's very own first variety show. So every week we'd get an episode of Xtra Xtra where we would see the members go through their trials and tribulations under intense pressure and we would cry with them, and then we'd get an episode of 3 Meals where we could see them just having the time of their lives hanging out together. I believe us seeing this combination of intense drive and pure joy back to back, something Simon did on purpose I'm sure, really helped to form a solid and well-balanced base of Alphaz, one of the best fandoms out there...

I can’t imagine XG without Chisa, Jurin and Maya. Simon understood that hard times will come, and he just didn’t want a dancer, singer, rapper. Fighting, always fighting, and those three fought their way to achieve their dreams. To know them is to love them.

Simon did his homework and his experience was ace in this. He comes off as such a caring unselfish person and I am truly amazed at the efforts he put in behind the girls. I can’t see XG without those three at all.

Simon has the firsthand experience to know how difficult debuting is and while he may seem harsh to some, he really is looking out for the girls and trying to ensure those that get picked are going to be able to withstand the pressures of debuting and be successful

I don’t find him harsh at all, strict yes. But he knew what he was doing. He had to be that way, especially with young women. He had to prepare them for the crazy part of being an idol.
