I guess his extreme unreal crazy legendary crashes are the main reason for this air awareness :D it's also really annoying how deep the family of McLoerres got into the actual BUSINESS, they are monetizing every fart out of their son M. and honestly, if you dealt with humans on any professional level you get the impression the dude got some sort of Asperger or Autism which isn't a bad thing it's just hard to watch if you are looking for the entertainment factor of these sports. He might also just be like that when he's on air or something or actually I got the feeling that he got more down-to-earth over the last years maybe he's just growing up or something. Personally I got no hate for the guy but I can't say I would miss him in any event since he's everywhere. And WHEN he misses an event, they show some footage of his new snowboard movie (whatever a snowboard movie is suppossed to be) or he's part of the presenter team or they show his crash or his highlights or his recovery or him taking a dump. He might be a great athlete but he's also one of the main reasons why professional Snowboarding lost its whole magic and mojo and creativity and instead was all about adding another spin or cork or brezel and basically everybody trying the same tricks over and over. I know it's not easy to do this, but Snowboarding just lost it's spirit and soul due to this development

@@schmidy0677 if youre referring to that last 90 degrees that he drags, idk how you can ask for anything more. no one has ever landed a 1980 on film. its not like he landed and then reverted back out, he had the full rotation just had to pull it around in the end. as you see he rides away literally perfect. maybe give him a 48? 47? i meant were talking about a 1980.. to give a 41 on that is complete bullshit and i think if you were to ask the judges they would 10000% admit that they judged him lower because he was the very first rider. if you watch other skateboarding/snowboarding contests like this you would have seen it before. very common to give lower scores to leave room for tricks in later runs. sad really

I don't know, man. Maybe it's my age and maybe I'm gatekeeping a little, but I sincerely feel like this was just....boring. Back in the day (and yeah, every old fart statement starts with that. LOL) guys like Damian Sanders (and that whole generation of rider) had such style and they were all unique. This looked, from a spectator's perspective, like a bunch of dudes going for the same trick. I lost interest in snowboarding when it got to be "he who can out spin the other guy". As a guy who hiked up Stratton's half pipe plenty of times I was in it from the beginning and got to see Sanders' iguana flip in person. I used to watch contests and think "HOLY SH*T!!". Watching this all I really think is "eh. What else is on?". Of course much respect to the riders but I stand by my take that it's boring to watch.

On a snowboard how do they differentiate between switch and cab. Do they actually pop of their tail while riding fakie?
@Jukuu2 жыл бұрын
Just like in skateboarding, cab is switch frontside. Named after Steve Caballero, who made switch 360 a thing and therefore switch frontside spins got named after him = cab. On a skateboard cab is also switch frontside spin and you pop from switch tail. Fakie doesn't really exist in snowboarding, sometimes people however call some landings (i.e in quarterpipe) to fakie though.
