After adding a key to a 2009 BMW 7-series, all the lights on the dashboard lights up and a lot of malfunctions happen. Power steering is very minimal, left headlight doesn't work, passenger and driver restraint system doesn't work, and trunk won't close to name a few. It wasn't like that before. I don't know what went wrong but I believe the CAS4 (IL15Y) module went bad. The key however worked marvelously and can start the car. I purchased another CAS4 module (IL15Y) on eBay and planned on moving the old EEPROM data of the original over to the new one. Is it just simply writing the data over to the new one? Let me know please.
