Well... you have to do something with the soil and so on. There is a reason, there are a hundred big cranes and so on around there. Don´t think, there is a good way to actually hide it. They tried. The heavy fog there all the times... "hide" it as like... "building real estate" (if i understood correctly)... Dont know what intelligence knows, but from what i saw from the paywalled Financial Times article, it was observed roughly 6 months after they started building. I think it´s pretty good to hide an installation like that for that relatively long time.

Well... do we know, whats in there? Whats going on there? Not sure, how often the dense fog there lifts enough for satellites to see anything. And also not sure if military spy satellites like the SBRs can properly monitor via RADAR. Surveillance definitely got a lot more difficult. Keep in mind, even when the bunker is halfway build (proper Opsec implied), they can do, produce and depot everything down there without being worried about surveillance.

Just a waste of money. Assuming this assumes the US as the adversary, the US has developed a wide arsenal 9f conventional weapons including bunker busters. The US probably wouldn't even hVe to consider using a nuclear weapon to reach into the earth and render this complex unusable. Could Taiwan deliver such a weapon without relying on the US? Unlikely but the US seems very likely to hold nothing back if Taiwan is atracked.
