主要是稀土提炼过程会污染环境，西方国家就把稀土提炼厂建在其他国家，反正污染的是别国，自己国家没被污染就行，马来西亚就有澳洲的稀土提炼厂，本来执照到期了，马来西亚政府觉得真的污染环境而不想更新厂方的执照，可最后还是给他更新了，其中的猫腻可想而知，某负责人肯定从桌子底下拿了不少好处，哪还关你污不污染。

稀土主要是提炼技术难，要不然美国澳洲也有不少稀土都送中国进行提炼加工

重金属类稀土确实稀少，不缺的是硅锰钒之类的，但锇镓之类的就太稀有了。中国在内蒙的重金属稀土是世界储量第一。还有就是稀土的提炼技术中国也是独一无二。

这位砖家不懂化学，硅跟稀土没有半毛钱关系。硅作半导体基质材料，必须高纯度，当然技术还是比美日差的远。而稀土纯度绝对达不到11个9，技术不行也没那个必要。砖家不懂专业请不要胡说
