I love how she's a solo idol going against duos and groups, and she performs along with an orchestra. She's here to show that she's not just a rival, SHE'S THE FINAL BOSS BATTLE.

The music right before she starts singing truly sets a Terrifying Final Boss atmosphere.

I have a feeling that she'll beat sunny sid...... Sunny passion in the love live
I love how out of all the love live groups, Liella is the only one that seems to be genuinely terrified of their rival

I think what makes Liella terrified of Vienna is the fact she can actually pull a spectacular performance all by herself.

More of experience imo Other groups aren't experienced enough to understand their rival's strength when they first meet them

That's because A-Rise were meant to be a goal for Muse to reach toward and surpass so fear of them was not necessary. Saint Snow was meant to show Aqours that they were not the only ones struggling, so they were put on the same level as them as equals, no fear necessary there either. Nijigasaki just wanted to co-exist with their rivals and then eventually absorbed them into their own group, so no need for fear of them then either. In this way Liella is refreshing and new, but each of the other ones was different from the last as well, which I love. I love that each of the groups and their respective rivals were so different from the last

@@421cookies I disagree, Muse was _very_ aware of A-Rise's strength, they were the top idols in their city and they won the first love live. It was painfully obvious how strong they were to Muse, and Muse viewed them as the ones to "beat", the goal to reach and surpass.

@@starlette7820 I mean they almost gave up right away when they found out they had to compete regionally, putting them right against arise. Plus for Aqours and Saint Snow, while they became equals, they were originally there to show them that they needed to work harder because good enough wasn’t enough for the Love Live
The slow singing and crazy chord structure starting right after 00:40 was amazing to see in the middle of the episode. I was not expecting that sound in Love Live! at all. Both the more classical sound and seeing the Liella! girls' reactions in front of the night sky actually brought back some nostalgic emotions from late-night finals performances at high school marching band competitions.

Agreed. It was spellbinding

@@kitsuneneko2567 I hadn't analyzed that. I'd agree you could easily notate and conduct it as 3-3-2, although you can also notate it as normal 4/4 and it's not that complicated. 3-3-2 is still 8, so considering the length of that part compared to the rest of the song, I'd assume it would be notated as 4/4 and possibly conducted as 3-3-2 depending on the level of the players/singer and the conductor's preference. (I've imagined this sequence as part of a marching band show, and conducting is typically kept simple for those.)
I think NOBODY expected the new girl to drop a MV right after her introduction, and she KILLED IT Superstar S2 has been nothing but surprises so far and I LOVE IT!
