The rioters think the lunch are free. The politicians used the youngsters. BBC and CNN have nothing to loose. The more and bigger the problem for China and HK the more the westerners are happy. It's big business too.
Violence is evil, any violence should be condemned, and no one sympathizes with violence.

QT Young If violence is not right in any situations, Taiwan and South Korea would not have become what they are today. Do some research on what was happening in this two countries in the 80s.

not when there is no justice, your thought is just too simple too naive.
They said they are fighting for justice. How can they justify burning a man alive? How can they justify throwing bricks to kill a bystander? How can they justify shooting police with arrows? How can they justify damaging all kind of public transportation? Now can thy justify frequently interrupt MTR while people on the train are eager to go to work on time or went home to dine with their families? When they said a police shoot one of them, did they also mentioned that guy was trying to grab police's gun with the help of three others right infront of TV station cameras? They said they are doing the right thing, but did they considered what the public think while the public's daily living was badly affected by their violence?

Dear BBC EDITOR, I don't care how sacred ones' missions are, nothing is above the laws. You are constantly promoting the rioters' justifications for violence, such as: "They sacrificed for the future generation ......" reminds me of the last words of Al Capone in his death bed. He said, "I am not a felon. I just do my best to take care of my family." One of the rioters in your documentary said: "I could not believe I had so much anger that forced me to throw Molotov cocktails on the street." Isn't this the kind of argument your hear from murderers (the not so clever ones, I'm afraid). Is this an acceptable reason for committing crimes in England? Stop condoning crimes. If one breaks the laws, one must face the consequences. Period. There must be legal alternatives to take care them closer to their objectives. Looting, burning, vandalizing, beating up non-supporters, or burning another human being alive are NEVER options that could help. I believe these youngsters are also victims - victims in a very peculiar time, under very complex situations. They should be given a chance. Yet their excuses for breaking the laws should never be promoted.
It was the freedom in HK that attracts me, but now it's gone in a brutal way.

The simple fact that CIA was behind the scenes on HK riots & the students leaders were in their payrolls spoke all! Of course,, BCC won't mention this simple fact!
Why people are suffering? The sheep and wolf are fighting for their own benefits. Hongkongers were fought for freedom, justices and peace of the land! The land we grow up with clean water and fresh air. The officials were making their profits during the entire struggles. Congratulations to their promotions and prospects! ✌️

for freedom to riot? justice to set fire to someone who just don't agree with you? peace to set fire to shops and banks?
Don’t cover up the violence in the name of democracy, during years of study and experience, I believed, HongKong is the worst place in the world to bring shame on mainland Chinese. The majority of HongKong people can find their genealogies root in Guangdong province in mainland China... but HongKong is still a place full of racism toward mandarin speaking Chinese.
