Up until recently I had never seen anything like this before. I now can't stop watching these videos. These performances are beautiful and so amazing to watch. The ladies are always looking so gorgeous and I especially love when they wear red. That color just looks so good with their skin tone! The way these girls are so in sync with their speaking and movement is so awesome to watch. I would love to learn the history behind the probates and why they do certain things like specific dance moves or things they say. I know the girls and guys will say history about their sorority/fraternity but it's usually so hard to make out what their saying due to the audience making so much noise in the majority of these videos. I've noticed that I never see white sorority/fraternities doing this so is this just something that only black sorority/fraternities do? I hope no one thinks my comment is rude or that I'm ignorant because I'm not educated on the history of probates. I'm sure I can Google it and find out myself what the history is but I thought having someone who has been apart of one of these would make them be able to explain it better. I notice that they tend to do the same dance moves through out the different sororities/fraternities or say the same things or make the same sounds through out the years. Who choreographs these things? Is there like a specific format they follow? Also what does the sounds they make mean and why is it done? Such a great performance!

You're not ignorant, you just have a lot of umansweref questions. First read the history of onr of the organizations. Then let a member know you've read the history and would like to know more. That is a worthy icebreaker. Refer to you statement you posted here as background for your inquiry.

Why the pole says Chi Rho but this the Xi Psi chapter?

Is it something to do with the pyramids in Cairo (Chi Rho)?

Since their chapter is "returning" to active status after 2 yrs, maybe the chapter listed on the pole is their "sponsoring graduate chapter." Just a peep into the world of Greekdom.
