Qianluo, her first ancient drama, surprisingly handled the spear as if she had been doing for a long time.The best strong female lead I have ever seen. Most female lead they can't even make a kick, they will be out breathe when they do.Xianose is a proud man,he doesn't entertain anyone too close to him and he has proven he love's Qianluo,even when he is not sure of himself winning a fight ,he still fight to win her over other guys,he promised her to take her to his home land, he verbally told his childhood best friend that he likes Qianluo, how much much does he has to prove for people to know he cares for Qianluo? It is the fault of the producers. They could have shown a kiss between them without their kiss, which makes people wonder and confused, while a male lead seems to be showing his love for the woman he loves in a distant?.

Even though they didnt highlight more scenes of them being together, I can see from the beginning that he do likes her. And they are cute esp. when they are bickering. Is there a season 2 of this drama ? I hope if there is. they are still the leads and should put more romance too .

At first I was confused to but the more episodes I watched the more I saw xiao se looking fond off qianluo when she is not looking Remember he has to portray his character who hides his deepest feelings (just like wuxin said) and when they interact and qianluo isn’t looking he looks much in love but hides it for everyone 😍 I think it’s so cute

I love their acting too, because it is their character personality, Xiao Se is cold, dont really care about anything, an ambitious person but have buried feelings, he shows his emotion with an act, example is when Tang lian died and didn't take the sword because he loves his friends and Qianluo as his crush

If they follow the original novel, it should be qian lou and xiao se end up together. It's cannon people. I don't get why people pair xiao se to Wuxin when there's really nothing going between them besides being allies. Xiao se and Qian lou will going to get married in the end if they follow the novel. Honestly, they skipped so many scenes between xiao se and qian lou so I prefer the novel more. I guess this series focused on action, bromance, and rivalry. But it's still good because of the actors. I really like how Li Hongyi portrayed the carefree, elegant, and vain Xiao se🥰
