The iphone pro is so much more class, like comparing a Mercedes with a Toyota... The phones are in Sweden at the same price, so it's no-brainer which phone to buy. Also this video was prejudice towards the Xiaomi, which becomes obvious when looking at the photos.

I pre-ordered 14 Ultra, upgrading from 13 Ultra. Maybe differences are small, but I wanted to get global version (14 Ultra) instead of chinese rom (13 Ultra). 13 Ultra wasn't available where I live, so I had to import it.

It's going by himself use on video 4k with charger in and with sim tray out 20-30 minutes few days and is fine after I done it on mine if you want to overheat more run some geekbench as well

Have you tried out the variable aperture? I'm quite excited for what that means for video smoothness, but I haven't really seen it tested yet. Can you use it to keep the shutter speed at 1/120s in 60 fps video?

Xiaomi is better, but it’s honestly not that far ahead. It’s mainly its telephoto performance that crushes the iPhone. Everything else comes down to preference imo

The Xiaomi 14 ultra I think has better rear cameras overall. The portrait photos are a weakness though imo. There's a bit too much beauty effect on the portraits compared to the iPhone and especially compared to other Chinese flagships like the Oppo Find x7 ultra

The iPhone does seem to add a bluish yellow hue to all its footage, and that seems to add a bit of contrast but its more like a filter than a pure photo.

Does iPhone purposefully put sharpness/grain/noise in their picture? This results to sharper uploads due to the platform compression alg detecting that there's less need to compress the picture since so much was happening in it. Same with YT.

I think the fogging would only happen in colder weather, especially going from a warm indoor environment to a cold outdoor one. Have heard it's an issue on the Xiaomi 14 but haven't seen if this happens on the ultra model

Xiaomi still blowing out highlights which makes its night time video and photos hardware advantage diminish. This is software so hopefully they will fix, but I wouldn’t guarantee based on the past. The iPhone did well being last year’s second-best camera phone so I expect the iPhone 16PM to compete well with the best of Xiaomi 2024. Of course, most of us would be happy with either of these and what will be far more important are the OS and regional support. The Xiaomi for example does not sell in the US and in Europe is very expensive; £300 more than the base iPhone 15Pro before discounts on the iPhone.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra- это уже другой уровень по фото. Китайские смартфоны сейчас лучшие по фото. Они уже фоткают как зеркальный фотоаппараты. Все-таки модули камер у них дюймовые! Айфон и самсунг уже прошлый век по фото. Они отстают от китайских смартфонов очень сильно. На iphone и Samsung видно качество компьютерное,а у китайцев уже качество без этой всякой программной обработки (шарпинг и т.д)
