After watching this I think i could just cut the wires and solder and insulate the new ones on without taking anything apart other than the grip and the throttle screw... what a poor design not having the plug on the throttle !

I've got to do this, what adhesive do you use to attach the display back on? as when I took mine off it all stuck together

Hey, great channel. I recenty tried changing my throttle to a turn throttle because im recovering fron a hand injury and the current throttle makes my hand go numb. I followed the instructions, realised the new throttle l had a different connection so just put it back together again exactly as it was an now there is zero power from the accelerator atall i dont suppose there is any tips, i didnt do any damage too wires so not sure what the problem could be as it was working fine befire hand?

Is the Xiaomi 1s throttle really easy to push down i have a clone and it has resistance but the legit one is like butter I need to replace the legit one can I use a clone throttle do you know

It should be easy to push and spring back you can use a clone one but you will have to change the connector. You can find official ones on eBay or Amazon.

@@electronicscootersthanet6360 Thanks I took it apart and saw the connector was not the same think I will buy one not very expensive only paid £30 for the scooter bit rough but works perfectly battery states normal but think it doesn’t go as far as it should

Hello, i have a aovo pro for 5months now. I was going speed 25 and turned the light on then all of a sudden it just went to speed 12 and wont let me go any higher than 12. I dont have the app connected. There is no error sign showing up. I use it for work and back. Please do you have any advice or be able to trouble shoot this? Also i dont believe its the charger as its brand new and it cgarges fine. 😁☺️☹️☹️ Thanks, Charlotte

Can you switch the throttle from the right side to the left? If you can do you know how easy it is to do and what to do? It’s because I have limited use down my right side and need to swap the throttle to the left side? If not Is there a way where there could be an extension from the right throttle to the left side where I could press it and it would push the throttle?

I would say that if you moved the bell/hook up and the brake up and put the throttle on the left at the end or before the brake. The Xiaomi throttle because of the way the cables comes out one side you would want to extend down with the brake cable and up to the display or around and along the handlebar just won’t look as nice. It is doable you don’t have to use the Xiaomi throttle you can solder the connector to a new throttle twist or thumb throttle.

@@michaeldavis2838 how about a half twist throttle on the left and put the old throttle connector on it then just run to the dash in the tidiest way possible.

Often I just have this after a bit of rain. Then I just hairdry the throttle or spray some WD40 in the throttle piece and it works again.

I cant seem to unscrew the throttle using the allen key provided by xiaomi. It comes loose and is litterally almost impossible to unscrew and replace. Ive tried using multiple allen keys to unscrew nothing works

Just check that the bolt is not catching on the plastic first but I would either use a screw extractor kit or drill the head of the Allen bolt in this case. Good luck 👍🏻

Check the wires going to the display board for any damage check the pins make proper contact. it’s either a faulty new throttle or a faulty display board.

Just got this error today on my 1s. I’ve only done around 300 km on it. Very disappointed. I ordered a replacement throttle but it won’t arrive until the end of June 😩. Until then, gonna have to do with that god awful public transport 🤮, yikes

AOVO scooter straight out the box throttle sticking slightly PITA . It looks like an annoying process to replace so will leave it .

Hi mate make sure there is a gap between the grip and the throttle 9/10 times it gets stuck on the grip 👍🏻 Hope that helps

@@electronicscootersthanet6360 It’s a sticky mechanism for sure only happens on part throttle may improve with use . I tryed moving the grip a bit but found it was not fouling it . Used some GT85 ptfe spray and a bit of silicone spray seems to be returning slightly better now . Must just be unlucky and got a sub standard component . Hopefully private scoots will be legalised in the Uk this year much better for the environment and such good fun im loving it 👍

Mine flashes a line at top middle and low. It may look like an 8 and it wont accelerate.

First thing to check is always that the hand grip is not touching the throttle and holding it in position. General ware in most cases or it gets knocked they have a magnet inside acts as the hall sensor so when you pull and let the throttle go it increases voltage and decreases the voltage. If this magnet is dislodged or the wires have been damaged then it will give you this error. As it’s the most used thing on the scooter it is common they will go faulty at some point and need replacement.

@@electronicscootersthanet6360 yea mines odd mate, I was riding, then put it in a scooter bag on the bus. Coming off the bus got the error. Ordered replacement but can't believe how easy it got hit One last thing, what's the name of all the tools you used? I've only used a screwdriver I'm not familiar With the names and types sorry

@@3DHDcat small magnetic posi (cross) screwdriver ideally for the display screen bolts. Posi screw driver for the headlight screws 3mm Allen keys for the throttle bolt 4mm Allen keys for the 3 stem bolts
