So in the future there'll be only one FW IMO for both the Chinese (A1602) and the USA (A1612) versions with the same functionality, except the sport export - I think that'll be limited to Strava for A1612 and MiFit / MiDong for A1602.

You've got the same voice as Adam Carolla. I just got the Chinese version with all the updates. Then I just changed the language to English by loggin into the watch via PC. Best of both worlds!

I get my watches through special DHL Express delivery directly from the manufacturer in the case of LEMFO. You might want to ask this question under the Y3 review video for others to answer you who ordered through normal channels.

From the moment I get the DHL Text Push to my phone it's right around 5 days, 7 if it spans weekends, to my door. Remember shipping time is SHIPPING TIME, not prep time. You can get caught in 2 weeks or longer prep time, especially with flash sales where nothing goes out until the whole lot is sold (so I'm told) before it's given to the shipper. What you want to check is end-to-end, order to delivery time.

Dear Mr.Tics, I'm using the latest Amazfit watch (1.1.8). On my Amazfit watch app doesn't have menu "load image". Any special setting required? Please advice.

Check ROM version of your watch is 1.3.1m or newer. You should see the Load Image at the bottom of the Watch Faces page in the app.

They are completely different watches for different purposes. First figure out what you want to do with your watch. That will guide your decision.

Unfortunately you can only use the watch faces you find in the Amazfit app for the PACE. Some of them do allow for minor adjustments, like adding date, but not much more. Android Wear and VXP faces won't work either. I think it's partly because of the capabilities of the transflective screen.

Hi. Do they have any backgrounds that are all white for the watch faces? All of the dark backgrounds are hard to see. Also, do they have an app for looking at your steps or is it still only accessible by looking at the watch? Thanks.

Only the faces you see in the app are currently available, but look at the first post in this video. I pinned a comment from StormChild with links to a way you can make your own watch face for the Amazfit. Then you can design it the way you want it. Please let me know if you have any success, and if you want, I'll show your design in a future video. As far as the steps showing, from the watch face, swipe once to the left and you'll see your steps in big numbers and how you are doing toward your daily goal.

I don't own the watch currently and don't have the app. I did return it. One of the reasons why I returned it was that I felt the background was too dark and it was difficult to read.

It does take getting used to, and compared to others it is dark. But the always on display makes up for that for me in most situations. I wouldn't want this as an Android watch for using lots of apps, but for fitness, time, heart rate, etc., it's perfect.

Good you're checking. It's a sports/fitness watch with no speaker, hence, no phone calls. Same for the SMA-TIME watch, the other one with the great transflective screen. Thanks for subscribing! Sorry, I haven't kept track on which are 2G and which are 3G. Since it's of interest to you right now, I'd appreciate you sharing which ones you find that are 3G so I can start developing a list. This is yet another one of those important facts I haven't tracked on each of these watches. Same goes for Android watches and their 2G vs 3G support. We really need a list of which ones still work!

No, it's a shame, but it does not. It doesn't export your track to the app for later use either.

I think the full review is going to come in fits and starts. It's a work in progress, constantly changing. I wish I had a better idea how the firmware update affected the GPS both in accuracy and power consumption, but I don't have a clue on how to test that, and even less time to give it attention right now. We'll see how things go. The good news is I'm using this one quite often so it isn't in the storage bin. Better chance I may do some deeper reviews as I discover more worth sharing.

Anybody able to help on this one? I've always done it by computer, so I don't know. I would suggest installing something like Airdroid on your phone and watch, but you would need to be using an Android watch to install the app. Can't do it on the PACE. Other options like using Dropbox or Google Drive would work for moving files over from your phone to your watch, but again, you would need to install those cloud drive apps on your watch. So I'm as stuck on ideas as you are. Sorry.

This uses a completely different kind of screen that relies on reflected light. There is no brightness control, only a soft backlight for when you are in a dark room. This screen is a color version of those digital watch displays you see on the watches at Kmart. The only way I can show you the screen is to try and shine a flashlight on it and get the reflection just right for the camera. Much more work than a traditional backlit smartwatch. But the battery life is excellent because of this unique screen.

Well this is very strange. When I launch the Mi Fit app on the phone and I attempt to pair the English watch with it, the app automatically launches the Amazfit app and I'm paired in that app. When I go back ti Mi Fit, it is not paired. Every time I try it, the Amazfit app is launched instead. I guess the answer is no, it doesn't work, as I can't get access to anything in the Mi Fit app since the app doesn't actually pair with the watch. You may want to ask this question directly to the Amazfit folks though. The way these phone apps are integrated is very confusing to me.

That is because this is not an Android smartwatch, and that feature for accessing additional watch faces at the end of the installed watch faces through the "plus" sign only works on Android watches.

The dual mode watches are tethering watches, so all you need to do is look over the videos in the playlist called "More Tethering Watches. You'll find the Playlist tab on the main KZbin channel page.

You "design" your own faces with the options that they give you for a few select faces they provide. You can change the background picture and what shows on the display, as well as modify the hands, but you can't upload custom faces.

Yea, I'm surprised there aren't more case options out there, given how impressive this device looks. Broader band choices would be welcomed as well, especially something to make this think look dressy. After all, it's supposed to be worn all the time, and it's in the business executive price range, but you can't wear it to a formal dinner with the current band selection.

I'm going back and forth on doing that myself. I want to stick with the Chinese updates so we can see what will eventually come to the English Pace version, yet it would be fun to try out the English update if it won't brick the watch (it's a 3rd party solution - not offered by Xaiomi). The process looks a bit technical, so I'll probably wait until I have some time to study it. In the meantime, if anyone with a Chinese version of the Amazfit wants to try it, please share your results! If you want to shoot a little video clip in 720p resolution of English on your Chinese only watch, I'll be glad to upload it here for everyone to see. Just let me know!

Absolute failure this watch . A lot and I mean a lot of people are having problems with the watch failing after only a couple of moths of use. I would not recommend this watch to anyone.
