@@ncert9964 First things first, it has been 2 years since I posted this comment, which means that in that timeframe, I have already gotten a phone so I can make calls and message friends and do banking etc., second thing is that it was either the Xiaomi Redmi 9C or Xiaomi Redmi 9A, and both of these phones have a Mediatek Helio chip inside of them if I recall correctly, so it should've worked but it didn't for some reason. I would recommend unlocking your bootloader the normal way by waiting a week and then trying to unlock it. It worked on my other Redmi 9A, to which I installed a GSI ROM and works pretty well I suppose.
