your video saved me, didn't even warmed the tire, just used two pliers as I didnt have the plastic straps, I just used normal tape around it and was enought to hold them in place, I felt like I was in a strongman challenge after to put the tire in but I did and I am very much appreciated to you as I see all others videos and it seems eveyrone has a professional garage with tools and everything except me :)

Thank you, your tip did the trick! Like so many of the other commenters, I spent a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears trying to get this tyre back on! I got the tyre on with screw drivers before I saw this, but punctured the tube. Luckily I had a spare and I ordered some plastic tyre levers which came quickly. It took me a little while to properly understand what you were doing - as I understand it - twisting the lip of the tyre into the lowest point of the inside of the rim. I also found that my tyre did not seem to be as malleable as yours, so I had to chase it around a little with the clamps. An extra pair of hands helped a lot too! We got it done, and the scooter is back on the road. All of our local bike and tyre shops were not interested in the job, so this video was very valuable to me! Thank you again!

This was the last tip that helped. I used my both feet to hold down those parts, worked as well, used this trick to change my front tire. Hardest part about the front tire was probably the nut, it was tightened SO damn hard which made me doubt about which direction i had to move to open it. That said, i think i wasted a total of 12 hours on changing my both tires, including watching videos and a lot of swearing.

Bro was FOREAL! Every other video I've watched to date has made me feel like I need a 1yr gym membership, preworkout, roids and a line of coke! Pliers were the biggest game changer. Took me nearly 8hours in total across 3 days with tyre levers, cable ties and my wifes help to get the tyre on. Watched this video the next day and bought a set of clamps to help repair my bro's tyre and it took us 20 minutes in total. Tyre levers, clamps and cable ties for the clamps and now I'm on marketplace offering $80 to change a tyre

You're a legend. This is the key. It also works wonders to remove the tire. I've struggled for hours before finding your method which made me finish it in minutes! Unfortunately I have been unlucky and sloppy enough to puncture a new tube during the struggle so I had to repeat the whole process all over again. With your method whole process of removing the tire, patching the tube and putting it back together took less than half an hour. Now I finally have the scooter back in service. 👏

Haha haha I was getting so stressed out. Watched this video then removed the tyre in 2 minutes. You can do it by hand by constantly squeezing the tyre making sure it is in the centre of the wheel at all times. GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU!!

I used two Irwin mini grip clamps to hold the tire in and used a fat gigantic flat head screwdriver to bend the tire in, I wouldn't have thought of it without your video, you saved me dude! thank you! After 23 hours of trying to force the tire into the rim I finally got it in using this technique. 😭😭😭

This has got to be the best advice I've seen about how to get the tyre on. Worked perfectly for me after spending hours struggling and even managing to bend what I thought were a decent set of tyre levers. Awesome video!!

Bro! you are legend.. i spent 4 hours changing front tire, and after successful change i realized that i made 4 holes in tube, so i had to do it again... i tried your method with 2 clamps and it was done in 10 minutes with hardest CST v2 tires without boiling/preheating! thanks a lot!

Thank you so much, I was already about to give up when I found your video! In addition to the clamping I also put the wheel in front of a space heater to warm it up a bit. Don't know if that really helped or it was only a placebo that gave me strength but I managed to get it on.

@@edong919 Yes, that is a common problem too. What I do is to inflate it to a higher pressure and then quickly unscrew the extension from the valve. You will lose some air but as you overinflated it before it should be OK. Hope it helps!

I've only gone and done it!!Yeah using a combination of mole grips and water pump pliers certainly helped.I also made a little jig for holding wheel in vice.Basically a short piece of box section.Drilled a 6mm hole at bottom and larger hole at top for hub to fit in.6mm screw with two nuts to lock it in place.A lot easier than trying to tighten hub into vice . I'd post photos if I could.

This trick helped me mount the tire back on. Beside using the two pliers I had to secure the mounted sectors of the tire with zip ties to the rim as I progressed.

THANK YOU. I previously spent hours cursing shredding up my hands and flooring. I used a pair of ratchet clamps to squeeze the tyre together but the concept is the same. Had the tyre on in 5 mins. If you need to go out and buy tools, I suggest ratchet clamps because they only cost about £5 a pair and are a bit easier than this method.

It even works on CST tires that are harder. It took me a few minutes to set up, and earlier I was tired of 2 hours and sometimes damaged the inner tube. :)
